Gili Treehouses — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

We came to gili threehouse on the month of august 2022. Staff really kindly and friendly different from the proprietary Sam that has been very rude and unfriendly. We had a problem to go to gili threehouse because my wife was pregnant and was not feeling good taking the boat so we cancelled our Booking (for our fault 3 days before the arrival and not 4 has provided by the Booking policy) and Sam started threatening us telling us that he denunced us for fraud to the authority of Indonesia. We have so decided to go to the hotel with the 18% of discount given by Sam (that was in any case the percentage that he had to pay to Booking in case our reservation was not cancelled). given that, the house was really good but the price to high for the service offered. Infact the breakfast was really poor. PS: just an advise to Sam, learn to treat customers as you would like...

BEWARE!!! They ripped off my credit card details from a cancelled booking.com reservation and used it to drain my bank account debiting amounts of $1000, $600, $400, $200 and then lots of $50 until there was no more money left in my account! I tried calling Laura six times but she wouldn't pick up so I called the credit card fraud team at the CBA. When I called my bank they could see four further attempts to withdraw from my account as I was on the phone to the credit card fraud team trying to cancel my credit card. Booking.com didn't respond to my complaints yet but I will escalate.

It took me almost a year to write this review! We stayed in Gili Treehose in the end of May 2016. And I have to say, it was probably the best stay! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful! location was great, as it is on the quiet side of the island. It takes around 15 min to get to the busy centre, and it's either a very nice ride along the beach or through the island (which we never preferred). The accommodation itself is amazing. It is an actual tree house, with a nice bathroom and AC. On the ground floor there is a nice patio and a little swimming pool. They provide you with bikes and head torches so it shouldn't be a problem to get anywhere you want on the island. Beautiful place! Miss...
