Better Me Cafe Gili Trawangan — Restaurant in West Nusa Tenggara

The food was actually really good, and the staff was kind – but we left disappointed. The waiting time was ridiculous. One of us got their food 30–40 minutes after the rest, meaning everyone else had almost finished eating when the last dish finally arrived. They basically had to rush their meal just to catch up.

The setting on the beach could’ve been great, but we were seated right under a loudspeaker, and to make things worse, the restaurant next door blasted completely different music. It made it really hard to talk.

Prices were similar to other beachfront places on Gili, but for Bali in general, it’s pricey – and with that kind of wait, it didn’t feel worth it. A shame, because it could have been a much...

The servers can be trained better on guest management. We came in earlier but staff #1 decided to serve the guests that came after us. While staff #2 & #3 sits idle. Despite there were only 2 group of guests (us + the other group), it took about 10-15 mins before staff #1 came and asked if we'd like to see the menu.

Was planning to get a proper meal here, but after the bitter start decided to give the business elsewhere :/. It's a pity given everything else seems decent. Hope the owner / manager notices this feedback & is able to improve the service level as there is a great potential for this cafe.

I came to that place, because of the amazing reviews. But I have to say that I was really disappointed of the food. It was very average and the mayonnaise was just oily, no good taste. The communication was also a bit complicated, I asked if the fries are homemade, the waiter said yes, but they weren't and then they forgot the salad first, when I asked they brought it later. When I wanted to talk to the other waiter to ask a question, he just said yes yes, just a minute and he never came back. Personally for me I didn't like the quality of the food, there are better places on that island. But well, maybe I wasn't that...
