This place was disappointing to say the least. Our Airbnb host recommended this spot as she loved going here when she first started living in Gili T but unfortunately I feel like the place may have lost its touch since. The server rushed my partner and I to order drinks on “discount” since we arrived at 4:30 while proceeding to tell us their happy hour changed from 2-5pm to now 2-4:30pm but he could get us a “good deal” which felt like he was pocketing our 100k. Drinks weren’t even all that (pineapple daiquiris in case anyone was wondering) The view was great, sure, but you can get the view pretty much anywhere on the west side of Gili T so it’s not anything special. Food was very mediocre between the nacho chips with liquified sour cream and not so hot Korean chicken. The food tasted as if it had been sitting in the window for 20 minutes before being served to us. Mind you, we were in the water when the food was served but as soon as we saw it being put on the table we got out right away. Not one to give bad reviews but this place was just not it and others should know. Overall, not the best experience and...
Read moreWent here alone to have dinner since my accommodation was close by and this place have good reviews. I tried to order a beer but they didn’t have any available they said, only warm, so they insisted I should by a cocktail instead. I was surprised that they didn’t have cold beer since there was less than 10 people there this evening and several staff members had nothing to do. Anyway, I ordered a cocktail but they again insisted that my choice wasn’t good so they told me to try another one, which I accepted. The cocktail itself was okay, nothing special.
I also ordered quesadillas. These were the worst I’ve ever tried. Most of what was inside clearly just came out of the freezer before they heated the bread and it was ice cold and with no taste. A family came in like 30 minutes after me, and to my surprise they were served beer which obviously was available again? Just felt like a rip of where they wanted to gain more money by selling expensive cocktails outside of happy hours.. Would not recommend to anyone even though the place itself is beautiful and offers both tables and bean bags just...
Read moreI don’t know if it was our waiter or what but personally, this place is a no go. The recent reviews agree, not sure what’s going on. Sunset is nice but way overpriced especially with the pushy & rush waiter, one moment he felt genuine the other shady. First drink felt strong next one was nonexistent. Draft bintang is not worth it. Beach is rocky so wear your sandals if you want to go, quite shallow so you can go far out. Happy hour has changed & it feels like a weird scam with the waiters pocketing extra money on whatever “deal” he gives you but never the less the food is absolute garbage. Soggy nachos, sour cream watery. Korean fried chicken ok flavour but the chicken felt crispy & soggy at the same time like it had been sitting for an hour under foil. Didn’t dare to try anything else. I rarely give bad reviews & am quite patient but come here for the sunset &...
