Mango tree house — Hotel in Gili Trawangan

A summary for those who don't want to read the whole thing: Mango Tree House is a fantastic place to stay, whether you're a solo traveller couple, or even a group. It is clean, staff are attentive, has a great vibe. 10/10 would recommend.

The detailed version. Where do I start? I stayed at Mango Tree House for 6 nights, and it was the best stay of my entire trip! From the time I arrived Anthon was very helpful and caring. Purnama and Manan were also always eager to assist. The minute I left my room they were asking me if I needed anything, and always with a smile. I chose Mango Tree House based on the pictures, as it seemed like a nice place to get to know other travelers. And although we only had 2 nights where other guests joined the singalong, those were fantastic nights. And on the other nights it would just be me and the guys, (Anthon, Manan, Purnama, Daniel, Harman (not sure if that is correct, sorry), and a few others that joined.) which was great. They really made sure that as a solo female traveler I was taken care of. They provided a bike to rent which was really convenient, and offered snorkeling, kayaking, fast boat, laundry and more. We absolutely loved our stay at this place. The location was really good close to the beach and lots of other places that you will frequent. Anthon especially was extremely kind and he was always available for anything that we needed. We really enjoyed the family dinner, and it was a great way to meet people and sing together. Anthon and his friend were both very talented, and it was lovely to listen to them and experience the local culture. The rooms were clean comfortable and spacious. We couldn’t fault this place and if we ever get to go back to Gili T we will definitely stay here. We stayed here just one night (as a couple) and we had an amazing stay! We immediately felt at home. The staff was really welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We wanted to come to Gili T for one night to meet some people and have a little party. The hostel is not a classic partyhostel but a good place to meet people and have some drinks together, exactly what we were looking for.
