I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant with a friend, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience.
We decided to indulge in a pizza and pasta, and they did not disappoint. The food was simply delicious, with flavors that transported us straight to Italy. The pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust and mouthwatering toppings, while the pasta was cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce. It truly felt like a taste of home.
What impressed me the most was the attentive and friendly staff. While my pizza arrived slightly burned, the waiter promptly noticed and offered to replace it without any hesitation. The level of care and dedication they showed in ensuring our satisfaction was truly commendable. The replacement pizza was spot on and exceeded my expectations.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the prices were incredibly competitive, making it the best spot in Gili for authentic Italian cuisine. It's a must-visit for anyone craving a genuine taste of Italy.
As I savored each bite, I couldn't help but be reminded of a real pizzeria in the countryside of my beloved country. The authenticity and attention to detail in both the food and the atmosphere truly captured the essence of Italian dining.
In conclusion, this Italian restaurant surpassed all expectations. With its delicious food, competitive prices, and attentive staff, it is a gem in Gili. I highly recommend visiting for an unforgettable dining experience that will transport you straight to the heart of Italy....

Mood: The owner, an Italian guy, standing at the front of the restaurant with a sous, in the 35 degree heat, infront of an old, massive brick oven that must be 200 degrees, the two working tirelessly and perfectly, hammering out the perfect pizza.
What a legend. The pizza was doughy yet the undercarriage was crispy. You should have seen the dough bubbles. I would have taken a photo but we ate everything as quickly as we could.
The gnocchi we had was also unbelievable. Not too big, silky and light, not too doughy or chewy. It was perfect! We had it with a classic creamy mushroom sauce. Yum. Did not manage a photo of that either...
Anyway, you won't regret it. They're busy yet don't fall into the "island time" either - our orders came out in probably 20 minutes.
We went twice, once for take away and we had to come back the next night to experience it all again.
Heaps of veggie options too which is a big bonus. Special mention to the foccacia. It was an absolute stand out and we couldn't not order it...

Tucked away off the beaten track, this small Thai-run restaurant might look unassuming, but it’s clearly earned its five star Google reviews. The pizzas were fast, fresh, generously sized, and frankly better than the ones we recently had in Milan.
You’re greeted by the sight (and smell) of a big brick pizza oven — an instant reassurance that you’re in for something good. I had the salami with fresh pesto and couldn’t help wondering why I’ve never seen that combination before. My wife chose the tuna and onion, which was equally delicious.
Dessert is served from a dedicated gelato stall within the restaurant itself — again, as good as anything you’d find in Italy.
All in all, a fantastic find and a much-needed...
