Stayed there for 7 days mandatory quarantine in the beginning of Jan 2022, which will be the first and the last stay in this property
The Room The hotel needs to pay attention to the details. Extremely lots of dust at the corner & under the surface, very old and partly damaged furnitures. Me and my partner had difficulties in breathing most times especially when we sleep and we could even hear neighbour sneezing every 15 mins also due to super thin wall. I suppose the hotel provide old building for quarantine guests.
The bathroom was another story. The water contains lots of chlorine and I would not recommend to brush your teeth with the tap water. Use the drinking water instead. The washbasin felt like it will fall off. Lots of stain on the floor and the door.
The Food The hotel provide 3 times meal. However, me and my partner, on our 3rd day we assume we had salmonella. We think it was because the undercooked chicken they served. The rice tasted weird and we needed to avoid them most of the time. We threw up and had diearrhea. I called the reception unfortunately there was significant offer from the management. We had to buy the medicine from the hotel. There was just a little variation on the menu, which did not match their advertisement. The delivery time of the bfast was always not on time. They mentioned at 6-7 am, but sometimes we havent received until 8:30 am.
The Staff As we checked in there was only 1 roll of toilet paper in the room. We are 2 adults and going to stay for a week. As we called the staff, it took them at least 30 mins to get stuff we requested. I dont feel the staff was helpful. Moreover the management needs to train english to the staff. It was hard for my partner to communicate. It was as well slow response from hotel reservation team.
The good point was laundry. We received our laundry clean on time everyday.
We understand that we paid only for 9mil for the quarantine packages. But nevertheless this hotel definitely needs lots of...
Read moreStayed for 2 nights here at Ciputra Hotel for the first time, overall it's a decent experience.
The main reason for picking this place was because it's used to be our childhood shopping mall, though we did not get to experience the mall much as the visit was for business nature.
Pros: Very helpful concierge staffs, parking can be tricky, staffs were pretty flexible Good selections of Indonesian food for breakfast Provided with a complementary massage voucher (tho we didn't have time to use it)
Cons: Price was a bit steep for a business hotel experience. For the same price charged, around IDR 1 mill per night nett with breakfast, there are plenty of competition from newer lower star hotels around. Cleanliness of the room especially when carpet is being used, vacuum is a must. I was unfortunately being a bit too flexible by politely asking the room to be cleaned the next day after finding out some leftovers near the tent setup in our room, it was however was taken by granted without a good follow through. When the room was vacuum it was quite clear that it has not been vacuum (crystal clear from the sound). This was a disappointing experience. Offerred a room change on the first night due to the clenliness problem but we were too tired. Had to wait for check in, about 15-20 minutes even though we're checking in super late (10-11pm at night). Offerred a fun world voucher which I've agreed to pick up on check out but again no follow through. Western food selection can be improved.
Improvement point from above is simply to make sure the service delivers what was discussed...
Read moreThe hotel is a typical old five-star establishment with a unique ambiance, featuring all-yellow colored lamps and a dark vibe that helps you feel relaxedâsomething you can't get from newer hotel styles. What's particularly good about this hotel, of course, is the bathtub. In this era of hotel development, it's challenging to find an affordable hotel with a bathtub. I spend every day soaking myself in the tub.
The hotel's location is also advantageous, as it takes only 10-15 minutes to reach CP, and they have their own shopping mall downstairs (connected to the hotel). The mall itself is pretty neat and offers a variety of food options. Many foreigners on business trips stay here, contributing to a professional and quiet hotel experience. I enjoy being here. The breakfast variety is excellent, with delicious food options and a good collection of dishes. I also received a cake from the hotel, and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and efficient; you feel like you've known them for a very long time.
One downside to this hotel is its old-school system, including the air conditioning (using numbers 1-5 instead of temperature settings) and lamps. However, if you appreciate vintage styles like I do, you'll enjoy the unique experience this hotel offersâa nostalgic experience you can't get from the newest hotel styles. Yes, I am definitely going to come back to this hotel. It's a nostalgic experience I always miss. The hotel provides a good escape from daily stress, offering a...
