This hotel has a classic, well-kept look, and the meeting rooms are decent. The sound system works fine, and there are enough microphones. Unfortunately, the ballroom isn’t soundproofed, and the noise was very disruptive to our event. It would help if they upgraded the walls to improve sound insulation.
Rooms are basic but acceptable, and the food is good. However, restaurant service was disappointing, especially in a country as diverse as ours. Our group, representing a respected institution in Indonesia, was turned away from breakfast because we wore traditional attire like sarongs and caps—even though we dressed appropriately in every other way. If this is the policy, it would have been better if they told us upfront, so we could have chosen a different hotel.
The doorman and cleaning staff were friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile. But the restaurant service wasn’t responsive when it came to managing dining areas. For breakfast, some of us were sent to a separate corner with a very limited menu, missing a full breakfast selection. At lunch, we had food set up near our event ballroom, but without staff to supervise. This led to guests from another group accidentally dining in our area. Proper oversight would have easily avoided this.
The most serious issue was the delayed check-in. Dozens of our guests couldn't get rooms until after 5 p.m., and even as event organizers, we only got our rooms at 8 p.m. The hotel blamed it on hosting a large political event the previous day, but with advance notice, more cleaning staff should have been brought in to prepare rooms by the usual 2 p.m. check-in time.
Worse still, no official apology was given for these service lapses—only a brief mention on the second night about noise from a neighboring event. Given everything, a formal apology to our group was in order, and it’s unfortunate this...
Read moreI have stayed twice here. What the remarkable to me was the fact that the food was delicious. The pastry was great, the Indonesian delicacy was exceptional, all of them. They even had three different jamu (Indonesian traditional drink) during my stay. I enjoyed the food a bit too much.
The room we stayed was great but you should stay in the higher floor for better view. The TV needed to be replaced to a newest one, the pictures was not very great. Meanwhile the lift service was great and the WiFi connection is somewhat strong.
The thing is, it's a bit far from the train station. I took a long walk from station to hotel and became sweaty when arrived. The food stall outside the hotel quite pricey and the condition around the hotel is somewhat rural even though is not very far from the city center.
To conclude, both...
