An nostalgic stay! I used to live in the neighbourhood. As matter of fact the location is just behind my old hluse! Yes the location might be a little bit hidden , since located in dead end road. But the good thing, it is still considerably nearby with the business centre ( sbcd) and good shopping malls ( ciputra world, plaza nusantara). But you might want to take motorcyle ride ( gojek, grab) since at least a kilometer to reach those location. The good side, it is located in residential area , so it is considerable quite. The facilities are quite complete for 3 stars hotel. It has swimming pool! ( small one though), gym ( it has free weight, some treadmill, cross trainer, bench press station, even a pull up station), and laundry machines. It has also working space, and restaurant/ cafe. For the room amenities is quite standard. I book studio room for 2 peoples. It has one big bed, a smart tv ( this is very good, since we can cast our phone to watch netflix , etc), individual air conditioner, mini fridge, tea maker ( it provides non calorie sweetener), and small kitchen set. The bathrooom provide separate shower room. Maybe the downside were there is no utensil for cooking ( pot, saucepan, etc), so i have no idea how to use cook without them. The amenities in the bathroom also very minimal ( only soap, shampoo, and dental kit). But again with 3 stars level it is quite good . Also need to mention a good addition that in the corridor outside the room, the provide free water dispenser. At least you can make your own cup noodle in the middle of night! I purchase a separate breakfast for 86k rupiah. In my honest opinion, it is not the best meal that can be offered with such price, i am sorry to say. At that morning, they serve white rice ( not good quality of rice, since a little bit hard), soy sauced chicken ( this is the only protein and it is not my favourite thing), curly pasta thing, sauted vegetable ( corn with long beans), and tempe and bakwan fritters (which is cold and too crispy). They also served cereal station, white bread with packed jam selection and margarine, infused water, coffee and tea, and fruits ( papaya, watermelon and cantaloupe). The hotel also have quite ample parking area. The service also quick and no hassle. They are not...
Read morePros: It has a gym and a pool, in house cafe on the first floor as well as a workspace. Located in Kuningan so it's quite centrally located. The staff members were very nice and helpful! I'd say they're the highlight of this hotel. Reception desk is available 24/7 and it was easy to receive deliveries as I could as the reception desk to receive them for me. Reasonably priced for what you get.
Cons: Internet was awful. The wifi connection isn't strong enough for a Zoom call. I was planning to work from my room but the wifi was terrible so I have to work from the workspace. There wasn't a "Do Not Disturb" sign for the door. As I didn't want the cleaners to clean my room on a daily basis, it would be useful to have them as I've been getting knock on my door every morning. I was informed by the reception that the cleaners will only clean if it's requested however that didn't seem to be the case. No safe in the room. I prefer keeping all of my important documents and valuables in a safe. However Cove The Day doesn't provide that in the room I stayed in.
Overall I'd say if you're looking for a place to stay in Jakarta that's centrally located and you'd be mostly spend your day outside of the hotel, this is a good choice. However, if you're like me, you're a remote worker who relies on stable and good internet connection to do your work and work from your hotel room, this place...
Read moreAt only $50 per night, I got what I paid for. I stayed here for three nights for business.
The Room: The room is spacious and clean. There's a stove and a fridge which weren't of use to me. The bathroom again is surprisingly big with both rainshower and handheld combo available. Basic amenities are provided: shampoo, body soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and bottled water.
The Service: Patchy. The check-in process was fuss free. But on my first night, I requested a hairdryer but was told all of their hairdryers were being used. They'd promised to deliver it to my room the next day. It didn't happen although I again asked for it. My room was cleaned after the first night, but it didn't happen after the second night; both times, I'd asked my room to be cleaned. I have no idea why.
The location: The landmark point is Tokopedia Tower or Ciputra World. You have to walk about 7 minutes along an alley to get to the hotel. All of the days, I walked back after 9 p.m., and the alley was decently litted, and I did not feel unsafe; no dodgy characters spotted at least. A taxi driver got lost trying to pick me up room the hotel once as the pick-up point wasn't the...
