Villa Melasti Wardana — Hotel in Kuta Selatan

I have refrained from leaving a review on this property as it was part of my agreement with Booking as they offered a refund for our stay. However, after reading the latest review and response on Booking, I felt compelled to warn other travelers about this property and the management. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed the room wasn't as clean as it could have been. The floor wasn't swept, the towels smelled musty, and there were urine stains on the toilet seat - we had travelled around Bali long enough to temper our expectations. We didn't complain about these points.

Firstly, this property is run by a younger Czech guy who seems to be living there with his girlfriend and a baby. We left for the day and returned in the evening and we realized that the AC wasn't working properly. The AC wasn't blowing enough cold air to cool the room and smelled moldy. We noticed that other guests have had similar issues with the AC. We couldn't find anyone to help us at the reception desk, so we called the number posted and the boyfriend came out of a guest room to help us. He proceeded to come into our room with permission and stood in front of the AC. Then he told my husband, "It's working and it feels cold to me". We had been running it for a few hours and the room was not cooling down. The boyfriend then asked us sarcastically if we want this room to become a fridge and tossed the remote control on the bed. Then he said, "Cheers, bro" and walked past my husband and out of the room with an attitude that made us feel very disrespected and uncomfortable. My husband and I packed our bags and left immediately around 10pm. We reported this experience to Booking and we were offered a refund.

The Villas have beautiful Ocean View, especially from the upper ones.All Villas have built in swimming pools (1.5 m) & kitchen facilities. The Villas have varies types of units to your choice. One must be aware of the Monkeys who make their daily rounds from the jungle through your roof tops & along the walls of your Villas & swimming pools. You are advised not to leave your doors open & give any food. They can open your unlocked rooms & take away your items. However, the safety & security provided is excellent.This is our first visit with the family. We chose specially to celebrate our 5th daughter Lucia Ann 37th Birthday with her hubby Ramesh & baby Rafael, my wife Ruth & daughter Edel Socorro Ann. We enjoyed the rooms & all facilities & it was a great experience for us to remember & share with our families & friends.
