Glad to be back after 4 years.
I have been coming to Febris since 2009 almost every year until Covid hit. My previous stay was in January 2019. I have just recently returned to Bali for a quick 5 night trip. I stayed at another hotel in Legian for 3 nights but I cant express how happy I was to walk into the Febris after being away for 4 years. It felt like home. My biggest regret was not spending the whole 5 nights at Febris Of all the hotels I have ever stayed in over the 15 years of going to bali Febris has to be the most immaculately clean hotel I have ever stayed in. It is such great pricing for rooms for what you get. I spent almost 3x the price of a room here for a hotel in Legian and the smell of mould/moisture was so bad. Since 2009 I have never smelt any mould or horrible smell at this hotel, its always so fresh and clean.
Not too much has changed at Febris. It is still such a peaceful relaxing hotel, great for singles, couples and families. They do have a lot of new staff, they are lovely. The buffet breakfast is gone as they prefer to keep the prices of the rooms affordable especially for their repeat guests, but they do have set menu breakfast to purchase or add on to your room stay, or there is buffets at hotels close by you can walk to. I personally would rather go without the buffet breakfast, it means I can have a lovely sleep in and not be in a rush in the morning and stay awake longer in the evening.
Housekeeping staff, have been well trained, they do an amazing job and they are always ready to greet you with a smile.
Food is still beautiful, they also do THE BEST banana milkshakes
The fridges in the rooms are quite large for a hotel fridge, great for families. Plenty of room to store foods and their favourite breakfast items.
The pool looks as immaculate as ever. They have changed and removed some statues. There is still pool service for food and drinks, the buzzers aren’t hanging in the trees anymore, they are safe from the weather.
For young families, they still have a great swing/activity area in the garden close to the main pool.
The check in and out system is great. As mentioned above I paid triple the price for a hotel in Legian and they didn’t even show me to my room, just gave me a key with directions – and it’s a big name hotel too! Since 2009 to today we have always had warm, friendly service from Staff at Febris.
Usually I stay longer and get massages, I didn’t get a chance this time, but looking on facebook Bali pages, its still being highly recommended, so I will be back in there on my next trip.
Paulus is still the General Manager, which is wonderful as he really cares about the hotel, its staff and guests and is fast to respond to inquiries.
The area outside the hotel however is a lot quieter with less people walking the streets, but I am sure as time goes on it will pick up. Lippomall is a short walk down the road, so sad to see so many shops didn’t survive Covid, but there is still some great things there – such as good size supermarket, cinema, entertainment for children, food vans, and the Brazillian BBQ.
Location is great - walk through Anvaya or Dynasty hotels and get onto the beach, close to lots of market stalls and 10 mins from airport. A bluebird will cost just under $3au to get from here to airport. (We always give nice tip to driver) 🙂
I hope to come back to Bali again soon. I know where I will be staying. Yes that’s right! Right here at Febris. A place that feels like a...
Read moreWe used this hotel as a layover hotel for 1.5 nights and it served its purposes for sleeping & showering only. We had a late check-in due to our flight so security met us and checked us in a little after 11PM.
The room was super humid and we could never regulate the temperature correctly before leaving, nothing ever dried and everything was always damp/moist. They include breakfast from a set menu, not many options but a few. I’m guessing it was the rainy season as it rained torrential downpours most of our stay, that was out of the control of the hotel but the most annoying part that did involve the hotel was the fact that they appeared to have added additional awnings throughout the property and it’s all made of tin, the rain outside beating on all of that tin magnified the sound by 1000 and at night you felt like you were basically sleeping outside in the rain. So needless to say our quality of sleep was lackluster along with the breakfast options. The breakfast includes one entree and anything you want outside of that comes at an extra cost, it is not a buffet.
The dining area opens right to the street sidewalk so breakfast views were interesting. The grounds are covered with artificial turf that just doesn’t work well in most conditions, it was super soaked and very slippery in the rain, hard to roll luggage through. It boasts that it has a spa but when we sat down at breakfast and saw that the spa was this outdoor space adjacent to the dining area with some chairs outdoors & staff giving foot massages I was underwhelmed, it’s super hot & muggy and there’s no way you get a serene spa vibe when you are outdoors on the sidewalk and across from everyone eating breakfast or lunch, where does the tranquility come in?.
There’s a note in the room that asks you not to stain the towels with makeup, lotions, soaps, etc because they work hard to keep the linden clean and you will be charged a surcharge for stains that can’t be removed…well to begin with, the linen to was never truly white, check out the elephants in the pics, they looks light grey 🤔 so we took a chance, it served a temporary purpose but I don’t think I’d go back if given a choice. Others guests seemed to...
Read moreFebri's Hotel and Spa is 3-star hotel centrally located in Kuta. It is within walking distance of multiple restaurants, gift shops, convenience stores, money changers (currency exchange), malls and several other businesses. The hotel has an onsite spa that provides several package deals for adults and children. My wife and I had the 5-hour Romance package that included several spa treatments including fruit and herbal drink, private use of Jacuzzi and steam bath, foot wash and scrub, one-hour Balinese massage, facial, body and scalp scrub, private bath for rinsing along with a fruit dish, ginger tea and bottled water, hair wash and blow dry, choice of pedicure or manicure (I asked the attendant to give the pedicure to my wife so she could have both treatments) and followed by three-course dinner in the hotel restaurant for a total price along with tips (not required) of $130 USD. The Spa staff also provide guests with free 5-minute massages in the hotel restaurant. The hotel features a large swimming pool that is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Ammenities include an in-room hotpot for making tea and coffee (provided by hotel), free bottled water, rain-shower bath, shampoo and body wash, hair dryer, large-screen television, full-size refrigerator, a very comfortable bed, room safe, pool towels and a balcony or outdoor sitting area (ground floor), large outdoor restaurant, airport shuttle, taxi and tour service, guest library and along with other services. Prior to our trip, I booked several tours which included transportation to and from events. (Tip: Make sure to print all vouchers in advance and contact tour service 24-48 hours in advance to confirm transport time.) The restaurant's breakfast buffet was excellent. It featured a variety of breakfast ...
