A Must-Visit Water Park with a Few Insider Tips
As someone who has traveled to water parks in several countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai etc, I can confidently say that Waterbom Bali is on par with international standards. The park offers a great combination of thrilling rides, a relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful conveniences, making it one of the top water parks I’ve experienced.
Thrilling Slides & Variety of Activities: The variety of slides at Waterbom Bali is truly impressive. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie looking to take on The Climax or Smashdown 2.0, or you prefer more laid-back attractions like the lazy river, there’s something for everyone. The park also features unique activities like the FlowRider, a surf simulation experience, though it’s important to note that some activities come with additional charges.
Go Early for Less Congestion If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend arriving early. The park tends to get crowded as the day goes on, so getting there right when it opens allows you to enjoy the rides with minimal wait times. By mid-day, the lines for the most popular slides can become lengthy, so showing up early ensures you get the most out of your visit without feeling rushed.
Convenient and Hassle-Free Payment System One of the most convenient features of Waterbom Bali is the cashless wristband payment system. Upon entry, you load money onto a wristband, which can be used to pay for food, drinks, and other services inside the park. This means you can leave your belongings, including your wallet, safely in a locker and roam the park freely without worrying about keeping track of cash or cards.
Friendly Staff and Excellent Massage Services The staff at Waterbom Bali were friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether it was assisting with lockers or guiding me to the best slides, their hospitality stood out. I also took advantage of the park’s massage service, which was a wonderful way to relax after all the excitement of the slides. Tip:Make sure to book your massage early, as time slots fill up fast.
Food Options & Halal Availability The food within the park was decent, with options ranging from Indonesian dishes to fast food. However, halal food options were somewhat limited. If you’re looking for a broader range of dining choices, including halal fast food, Discovery Mall is just a short walk away and offers a wider selection of restaurants.
Important Tips for Visitors: Bring Your Own Towel: I recommend bringing your own to save money. You can easily store it in your locker when you’re not using it.
No Shower Area & No Bidets: While the park offers basic restroom facilities, I was a bit disappointed to find there was no dedicated shower area for rinsing off after the slides, and the restrooms didn’t have bidets. This was a minor inconvenience, but something to keep in mind.
If you're looking for a day packed with excitement and relaxation, Waterbom Bali is definitely worth adding to your Bali itinerary. Whether you're here for the thrilling slides or just to enjoy the serene surroundings, it's an experience that will leave you with...
Read moreGreat place to visit or spend a day with your family or friends. For sure add it on your list. We've been very surprised by the large variety of pools, water slides and areas where you can relax. Parking at the entrance ( for scooters & cars ).If you are a group of 4 or more and you are planing to spend a day and have a good place to rest, you can book in time a gazebo ( they will be fully booked otherwise ), if no you will find plenty space to sit ( even as a bigger group ), don't stress about the sits, you will not spend to much time there anyway, If you want to have some fun. You need to rent a locker or towel if you don't bring your own, so bring some cash / a card with you ( to add cash on the bracelet ).The bracelet that you charge ( they give you one at the entrance if you want ) is a must as you will use it for everything inside ( no card / cash accepted, just payment with the bracelet ), you can charge it with more and at the end you will get a refund of the leftover balance ( in cash ). You can top it up anytime inside or check the balance + all places will let you know what is your balance after you buy something.
The water slides are fantastic and very fun to go alone or as a couple. The staff is always there to make sure everybody is safe and to help you with any informations you need. The park is incredibly clean, with zones for smokers, non-smokers, kids, and even chill areas for those who just want to relax. The kids zone is amazing and great for them to have fun and spend hours. Lot's of toilets around the entire park and showers. They are very clean and is always staff around making sure everything is nice and stay clean. Bigger toilets at the locker areas, with showers and plenty room to change.
A very good variety of food inside, drinks, coffee, ice cream, coconuts, cakes, pastry, popcorn etc. Great quality and a very fast and good service.
Also massages available inside contra cost, or if you have a package that include one, we had a package with a 30m foot massage, it was a great touch after 4h or having fun around, the massage was great and the staff very professional and polite. Very clean and quiet massage areas.
For sure we will visit again in the future ! ^_^
P.S : We took pictures just of the area where we did sit, the place is bigger than expected and we had to much fun so we didn't take pictures of the other...
Read moreIve been to Waterbom Park four times now, dating all the way back to when it first opened — first with my parents, and more recently with my own kids. Over the years, I've told countless people heading to Bali that Waterbom is an absolute must-visit. However, after my most recent visit, I am feeling disappointed.
Booking a gazebo in advance was frustrating — the system felt clunky and seemed to rely on third-party platforms. Our reservation date came through incorrectly, and it took multiple WhatsApp messages to finally sort it out. While the investment in the park and the quality of the slides are both impressive, it’s clear that staff training, systems development, and IT processes haven't kept pace.
One particularly frustrating moment: I ordered and paid for six beers for our group of 12. It took an hour and a half and three follow-up calls for the drinks to arrive. This delay ate into the time I wanted to spend enjoying the park with my kids. If it had been just one beer, I might have let it slide — but it was a significant purchase, especially after already paying for the gazebo and entry tickets for four people.
Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. When leaving, we consolidated our wristbands and purchased all the photos taken throughout the day. Accessing these photos has been a nightmare. I've only been able to access them once and get some of the photos and sadly none of those included pictures of me with my kids. The online help form doesn’t allow photo uploads, forcing me to email support. Even after following all the instructions in their automated replies, I was just sent the same unhelpful message again. Server errors (500s) on their website made the process even worse, and all told, I've spent the better part of half a day trying to resolve this.
Advice for future visitors:
If you buy photos, ask for them to be put on a memory stick before leaving the park.
If you're in a gazebo, don’t rely on the phone service — it's easier and quicker to walk to the food and drink outlets yourself.
Advice for Waterbom: Your booking and IT systems need a serious overhaul. Staff should also be empowered to fix issues on the spot rather than requiring multiple escalations and...
