This birthday will forever stay close to my heart. Celebrating it in Bali felt different — calm, soulful, and surrounded by warmth and kindness.
After a long, joy-filled day of island hopping, we were simply looking for a quiet dinner and some rest. We found this lovely Balinese restaurant @vietnameseminniewarung not knowing that it would turn into one of the most magical evenings of my life.
As we finished our meal, I thought my husband had stepped away to pay the bill. Moments later, the entire team came out singing Happy Birthday! — holding a beautiful cake! For a second, I thought the celebration was for someone else, until my husband stood up smiling… and the whole restaurant joined in with their cheers and wishes. My heart was full
And then something even more unexpected happened. When my husband went to settle the bill, the cashier said, “It’s already been paid by another guest — Ryan and Tiffany.” 💫
I was speechless. Their kindness and generosity touched me deeply — a reminder that the world is filled with beautiful souls who make life brighter in the simplest ways.
To Ryan and Tiffany — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You made a stranger’s birthday unforgettable. To the amazing team at @vietnameseminniewarung thank you for your warmth, your smiles, and your hospitality — your food and your hearts are equally beautiful.
If you’re ever in Bali, please visit this place — not just for the food, but for the love and kindness that lives there. 🌸💖

Our journey with Minnie Warung began on our very first day in Bali, and it's hard to miss its prominent location on the main road, often signaled by a queue of eager diners awaiting an available table.
The food here is refreshingly simple yet bursting with flavor. With a diverse menu of dishes and drinks, there's something to satisfy every palate. Regardless of your choice, you can trust that it will satiate your hungry belly and leave you craving for more.
The staff at Minnie Warung adds to the overall charm of the experience. They are not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful, ensuring that your visit is memorable.
What's even more appealing is the late-night dining option; the eatery stays open until 1 am. So, for those who prefer midnight feasts or simply have late-night cravings, Minnie Warung is a welcoming haven.
If you find yourself in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by this delightful establishment. Rest assured, we'll be paying another visit before we bid...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about the place. I liked the vibe of this small cafe.
We ordered pork satay with rice and chicken satay with rice, washed down with refreshing fresh juice. We wanted just a light dinner so the portions were just right for us. The pork satay was especially tender. The chicken satay was only average. I would imagine for a bigger eater or if you are famished, you will need to order more dishes.
Overall, the staff were welcoming. But it was somewhat ruined at the end when I wanted to pay by card. I assumed it went through and asked 'OK?' This female staff at the cashier said no and pointed at the card machine, reading out the text to me twice which I assumed was in Balinese. She said in English to try again. I said OK and also explained that I didn't understand the language when she pointed at the machine. She didn't respond and kept looking at the machine. When the payment went through, she passed me the receipt and card without looking at me. It was only when I said thank you that she said thank you.
It really made me feel unwelcome, which was a shame to a potentially...
