M BOX SEMINYAK — Hotel in Kuta

Probably I won't book it again. Plz read my detailed review before u go to this accommodation . (I'm writing this review after I've been many hostel and guesthouse)

Good 24h free lounge/reception Good environment for inviting friends free pool tabel

-Bad LOUD MUSIC DURING WHOLE DAY. If u r a sensitive person, don't come to this hostel. U can hear music of the lounge just on ur bed. (Until dawn)

SO DIRTY. When I came this hostel, there is a dirty things on the sheets of bed. And then my own table too. Maybe they don't clean it. And then the garbages were still in the plastic bag for 5days.

NO FEMAIL ROOM EVEN IF YOU BOOKED A FEMALE ROOM! It's a very big problem. I booked female room but it was mixed room. Even if it's a toilet!!! Sometimes men came out from the female toilet. (I don't know if their staffs) They didn't tell anything so I was surprised!!!! But mixed room was okay for me. But it's definitely all this hostel's faults and big problems for some guests.(they didn't notice it)

NO WIFI IN THE ROOM

NO WELL PREPARING FOR GUESTS. Only one or A few toilet we can rocked the door. Others were broken. Many time there weren't toilet papers. They don't fix it. And then only a few shower booth has shampoo.

NOT ENOUGH EXPLANATION. NOT KIND OR FRIENDLY STAFF. Staffs don't know this hostel well. When I asked them do u have a free water, they just said that no free water so u have to buy water at here or supermarket. But there was a water purifier. And then they didn't tell me about the bathroom. So I couldn't know what's the shampoo or bodywash.... there is no letter. In My opinion, the staffs aren't friendly than other many hostels.

NOT ENOUGH TOWELS. And then Change what they saying. I could change my towel just two times for 4days. First in the morning they said I can change towel at afternoon, but at the afternoon they said that just tmrw morning. And then tmrw morning was my check out day, so they asked me is it ur check out day. Definitely they don't change the towel if I didn't book one more day. Finally, they said that u can change the towel only once every three days. (They have changed what their saying every time) Cuz they don't have extrq towel. But I could see a lot of extra towels in the bathroom. But they don't laundry these. They left the towel unattended for a few days.

NOT GOOD ATMOSPHERE FOR MAKING FRIENDS. It looks very socially. But in the real they hang out just their own friends. And when I say hi to them, they wasn't friendly. (But it's not about everybody, just a few people)

NOT GOOD BREAKFAST. The jam was like a plastic. It's a common opinion in guests. It was my worst breakfast in hostel in my life haha.

STUFFS ARE DIRTY. When I borrow spoon and fork at here, these are too much dirty. So I washed it myself.

And I felt very cold in the room. And I told staff, but they said that everybody wants cold only. Eventhough many people in my room coughed...

Arrived in Bali without a place to stay so walked around looking and this hostel caught my eye. From the street it is a very attractive, interesting and clean looking space albeit a bit dark. A few days later I came back and needed a couple of hours accomodation until my flight so decided to go back. ||Location couldn’t really be better right next to a big Bintang supermarket which is always humming with locals and foreigners alike and plenty of dining and shopping around on the bustling road in front. They even have a restaurant serving pizza as part of the hostel. As with most properties in Bali the space extends quite far back and unfortunately most of it is taken up by lounge space or games areas for guests. They even have managed to put in a swimming pool which is a big plus for a hostel. ||However, all this space taken up by lounge area is at the expense of really limiting the size of the rooms (cabins as they call them) and dormitory (almost an actual capsule). The price of the cabin is IDR150k while the dorm is IDR130k. For that difference I would def recommend the cabin as the dorm is almost uncomfortably poky and would easily be turned into a bad experience if paired with inconsiderate dorm mates. The dorm option also only had a central light and no individual bed light so if someone was up everyone would know. There was also no storage space provided with the dorms, just a safe under the bed. So def go for the cabin. ||Plenty of chance to socialise if that is what you want. They also have a lot of other services such as arranging tours etc and had an interesting promo of free pizza on mondays and Thursday’s (if I’m not mistaken) for all guests from the on site restaurant in the wall. ||Overall interesting and good place but I would only ever take a cabin and not a dorm unless for a few hours like I did at half the...

Booked upon reading the positive reviews and I was sorely disappointed.

Arrived at 1230am to find out that the single private room I booked was not available due to “system failure” and they were “servicing the room” - I booked this accommodation 1 month prior to my trip.

I was offered to stay in a 6 people mixed dorm, where the receptionist said it is “almost same gender dorm” I asked what that meant, and turns out there is 1 guy in the dorm. They said they’ll refund me the price difference in the room I booked. However I was only keen on a private room and money wasn’t the issue. Given that it was NYE period, nothing else was available, I had no choice but to stay in a mixed dorm.

Upon entering the dorm, it is small and cramped. Lockers were not working!! We had to place our luggages at the walkway and I slept with my valuables with me in bed. There was no pillow as well and I had to request for one.

Next day upon pressuring the team to give me a single room, I finally got it after waiting for 1h as they said they were cleaning it. So it turns out that they were overbooked and not servicing the room as mentioned.

Anyway the single room was in very bad condition, room smells like smoke and sweat and there are stains on the pillow and bedsheets. Toilet space is way too cramped with the toilet seat just 3cm away from the sink.

Common area wise, thrash were left lying around from guests - pizza boxes, beer cans etc. Pool water also doesn’t look clean.

Do not trust the good reviews you see given that it was 2 years back. This hostel is in bad condition and the staff are not able to handle any requests at all. There are definitely better places around the...
