Mengalung bungalows — Hotel in Lombok

I stayed for 3 weeks at Mengalung Bungalows and I had THE best time. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Kuta. The location is perfect, you are super close to the centre of Kuta but out of the hustle and bustle and immersed in beautiful nature and greenery. The staff are the loveliest people and so kind and always helpful. They arranged a scooter rental, and I got a brand new bike. the breakfast ist so big so you are fueled for your surf sessions (or other activities). The bungalows and rooms are really nicely decorated and super clean. And the garden views are just stunning. We also got invited to a dinner of the owner family during Ramadan and the food was delicious. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Breakfast included was simple but enough to get you going for the day! Location was good just a few minutes scooter ride into the main town. Staff very friendly and helpful, they offer scooter hire and also laundry for the same price as most other places. Room was big with a great shower.

Cons- The aircon wasn’t very strong to cool the room, and the toilet can get quite hot as there is no shade for it. Good location, nice and quiet. Not on the main road but not too far away from the busy area. It’s still better to have a scooter. Can rent from them, fair price. 60k per day and can negotiate if renting for longer time. Many nice restaurants nearby. Staff are helpful. Complementary breakfast is really nice, nothing fancy but yummy, healthy and fullfilling. Bugs in the room becasue of the doors can not be shut properly.
