We stayed at the Cozy villas between the 13 and the 15 of august. First when we arrived around 2 pm the room was not ready, but that’s okay we can wait. We went to the restaurant while they were preparing the room. She also informed us that people would come to clean the room the next day between 1/2 pm as a standard of the hotel and nobody ever came. Don’t say something that is not respected after.
When we arrived in the room the fridge was blocked and not cold, again, it could happen. There were still spider cobwebs around the curtains. Our room was just beside the restaurant, the issue is that the room had no isolation from the noise. We understand that there is a service in the evening but I don’t understand why the staff stays there until over 1 am having fun when there are guest next door.
After that first night we received a message at 7.35 am asking how our stay had been and also received a message from booking as if we had finished our stay. We gently replied that we were still there (photo in copy) when the person answered being that they never presented themselves so we did not know who we were talking too answered in a way that we did not understand. Only trying to sell us packages or transportation.
We went out and came back for lunch at the restaurant I had a “Caesar salad” that did not have chicken or bacon or anchovies or egg as all traditional Caesar salad or at least they just have chicken. I asked for some extra chicken why not but I can tell you I was very disappointed when I saw a side size salad with 3 small pieces of chicken that I was charged 20 k for the extra chicken. 85k for a side salad is a bit of a rip off from my point of view.
We then booked with the lady of the reception a taxi for a drop off at our fast boat during the afternoon, for the next morning. She informed us that the pick up would be 8.40am and that the price was 150k (when all other taxis are 100k for 2 people) saying that it was a busy location. (The trip took 15 minutes so not understandable)
The night was same as the first noisy until late.
The next morning we went to get breakfast at 8 am sharp as that was the opening time. At 8.25 am we saw an employee coming back with grocery’s to prepare the breakfast so we asked to have the food take away being that we were not going to have time to eat being it was 8.30. Then 8.40 am arrived no taxi to be seen we waited until 8.50 am we then decided to go see the reception. When we got to the reception the same person who we asked to book the taxi asked us if we had booked a taxi. A bit irritated I told her we had booked with her. A half second later she said the taxi was on its way when clearly it wasn’t so instead of apologising she lied to us. We had to wait until 9.10 when a man arrived by scooter and asked us where we were going and went to get the hotel car so clearly it had not been booked.
Overall are stay was disappointing we travel for a living so we understand that mistakes can happen but we don’t appreciate people lying to us and not being professional and just saying sorry when it is necessary. We will unfortunately not give you a good review and inform our community of our...
Read moreGreat place to stay, good location. We caught the boat from Bali and many people tried to charges IDR250 for transfer to the hotel. We got it for IDR150 in the end, its worth haggling and waiting. If you can get transfer with the hotel that would have been better. The location is great as you have a couple of small shops around and some excellent places to eat/drink. Plus you can walk to dream beach in a few minutes. The accommodation is very good, we booked for 2 nights and stayed in the end for 7 nights. They are wooden huts and although the walls are thin, they feel very private. The water and electricity is on/off a little but thats the same in most places around here. The staff are amazing. Especially the manager Agus. Have felt very welcomed. The breakfast is included and suited us to start the day. Im glad we stayed here, away from the hustle and bustle of the main part of Lembongan but close enough to the beach that we don't have to pay the beach prices to stay. I would recommend and I would definitely come back to the...
Read moreNot so cozy villas... the main reason being that the bungalows are very poorly maintained. This place might have been good two years ago, but today (August 2018) the rooms are dirty, linen, pillows are covered with stains. One of my pillows was yellowish of dirt and sweat. Yummy. The bathroom is close to disgusting, toilets and sinks are soiled. The bed is terribly shaky, and once you’re laying on it you have a wonderful view on moldy mosquito net. Overall the lighting is gloomy, you won’t see yourself in the mirror by night. On top of this consider the fact that this hotel is not ideally located. Its name and the nicely taken pictures might suggest that it’s cozily nestled in the inner jungle of the island. Not at all. It’s surrounded by a busy road, close to several coops and you won’t believe it when you will see that they burn trash in a nearby field, at random hours. In a nutshell, unless you get a good deal on the price (
