Blacksand Villas Canggu — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We had a very disappointing experience at this accommodation in Canggu. Two days before our check-in, we received a message claiming we had already missed our stay, even though our booking was correct. We had to send screenshots of our reservation just to prove it. This immediately set the tone for what became a stressful stay.

When we arrived, we were shown to our villa, only to be told shortly after by management that we would have to move to another villa the following day. This was extremely inconvenient and meant planning one of our few holiday days around packing and moving. Management told us we could move anytime between 10am–12pm, so we packed everything up and were ready by 11am. However, when we contacted them, they said the new villa wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be available until 2pm. Attempts to speak with management were frustrating — they ignored our calls, and when staff passed us the phone, they hung up on us.

Despite the disruption and poor handling of the situation, management refused to offer any discount or compensation, aside from an airport transfer. We even requested to cancel and move to another accommodation, but they ignored us until the second villa was eventually cleaned and made available.

Unfortunately, the villa we were moved to was also disappointing. It was located right next to the staff quarters, which meant constant noise throughout the day. The villa itself had large gaps in the windows and doors, letting in bugs, and we were bitten repeatedly overnight. The stairs inside were creaky and unstable, making them feel unsafe, and the bedroom never got fully dark, which made it difficult to sleep.

Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disregard for guests’ comfort ruined what should have been a relaxing stay. I would not recommend...

Staying at Blacksand Villas Canggu was an absolutely unforgettable experience — a true slice of paradise in the heart of Bali. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the villa’s design, atmosphere, and exceptional attention to detail.

The architecture is modern yet warm, with natural textures, clean lines, and a perfect indoor-outdoor flow. The private pool, surrounded by tropical greenery, created a peaceful and luxurious setting that felt like our own personal retreat. The bedroom and living areas were spacious, spotless, and beautifully styled — even better than the photos.

What really made the experience special was the hospitality. The staff were kind, attentive, and always discreet — available whenever we needed, yet giving us space to truly relax. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful.

Location-wise, Blacksand Villas Canggu is ideal. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot, but just minutes away from the best of Canggu — cafes, beaches, boutiques, and everything else you could want for a laid-back yet vibrant Bali experience.

Whether you’re visiting for a romantic escape, a honeymoon, or simply to recharge, this place is a dream. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone looking for an unforgettable...

While the villa is in a great location, close to restaurants and bars, and within walking distance to most things in the area, several issues marred our stay.

Firstly, The villa had a serious problem with bugs. Nothing seemed to be sealed properly, and we found bugs all over the bedroom and the upstairs bathroom.

This made our stay quite uncomfortable. Another major issue was the upstairs bathroom, which is completely see-through. At night, whether the light is on or off, you can see right in. This lack of privacy was very concerning.

The villa is extremely light, which could be a positive, but there are no blinds on all the windows, making it impossible to achieve a blackout. This affected our sleep quality significantly.

Similarly, the air conditioning also broke down but was repaired later. These disruptions were quite frustrating.
