Casa maddu — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Since everyone has been sharing about their wonderful stays here, I’d like to tell you about the staff’s honesty and genuine hospitality based on my personal experience.

Later, when I was already in Ubud, I realized I had lost my phone. I panicked because I didn’t have an Indonesian number and thought I might have dropped it while riding my motorcycle. Desperate, I tried contacting Casa Maddu staff through the WhatsApp number I found on Google. To my relief, they answered and told me that my phone was with them. They had even tried reaching out to people on my phone, but since I didn’t have a local number or eSIM, it didn’t work.

When I returned, I found out I had left not only my phone but also my wallet on the reception desk 😭.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome—the atmosphere was warm, genuine, and relaxing. The room was spotless and well-appointed, and the room service was consistently prompt, courteous, and attentive to every detail.

What stood out most was how peaceful the entire place was—it truly felt like a private escape from the outside world. And the breakfast? Absolutely perfect. Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented each morning.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Not to exaggerate but this was the best accommodation I had in my life so far. We were welcomed warmly by the staff like a long lost family member 😅 The breakfast is always on time, delicious, and very instagram-worthy. I can't even believe it's free. Every day, we are going on a tour and we'd come back to our hotel room very clean and tidy. What makes our stay great is the hospitality of the staff and their concern.
