Pros:
The staff spoke perfect English, everyone was very professional and welcoming and made us feel truly at home. I would have loved to extend my stay hadn’t we already made other plans.
The hotel property is also truly wonderful — the property is stunning. Surrounded by lush greenery and nestled between rice fields, it feels like a tranquil little paradise. The pool and jacuzzi are definite highlights, offering breathtaking sunset views over the rice fields.
Despite the island’s growing construction and pollution issues, the natural environment around the property feels remarkably preserved. Even with nearby burning and plastic waste from construction sites, we still saw cicadas, birds, butterflies, bees, frogs, lizards, and even glow worms — which I thought had disappeared entirely. It was a beautiful and unexpected experience.
The hotel’s remote location adds to its charm, but it’s best to rent a driver/scooter from one of the external providers (around 100k/day). These companies offer delivery and pickup, insurance, clear instructions, and even an international driver’s license if needed. The access road is still unfinished and in poor condition, but with care, patience and a slow pace, the ride is manageable.
Cons:
The restaurant options were disappointing. We ate there once, then opted out for other options. Many dishes (inclusive the breakfast) were heavily overpriced and failed to meet expectations in both portion size and quality. For example, the satay was dry, and the bowls consisted mostly of salad leaves with just a few pieces of sweet potato or tofu, the pastries are a lovely idea but if one wants to eat healthy or can’t eat gluten there is not much option. Which left us hungry for most of the stay. As others have mentioned, proper meal portions and options are unfortunately lacking. All the “fresh juices” are not made of actual fruits but are very sugary and contain a lot of additives and preservatives. The same goes for the options in the minibar. That’s quite disappointing since all of this is very unhealthy for your guests and there are no shops or supermarkets around to get yourself a better and healthier alternative.
Additionally, the hotel frequently promotes its own products, which are priced 50–200k higher than similar items available elsewhere. This comes across as exploitative toward tourists, especially considering that the hotel’s room rates are already comparable to European standards even though some if the built standards don’t meet the prices.
While the rooms themselves are spacious and beautifully designed, featuring wooden furnishings and a bathtub, the shower area could be cleaner — visible mold made it unpleasant enough that I felt tempted to clean it myself to make my stay more enjoyable.
Noise pollution is there. You can hear your neighbours, talk, walk, move around. Also the traffic outside is notable. There is a construction site next door and some people drive loud motorbikes in the morning. The room doors to the balking don’t shut properly and mosquitos can creep in. In Thailand they used natural oil diffuser to repel mosquitos in a natural and non toxic way. That would be a nice idea here, too.
Please don’t use toxic chemicals on your guests nor the nature around. I saw people walk around with chemical spray bottles on the property - but there are also small children and people breath it in. The world is so polluted already and we don’t want to be exposed to...
Read moreThis is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in my life. As a solo female traveller I was hesitant about staying somewhere in a more secluded location. They had shuttles 3x a day to the centre which made it so easy.
Tari was just an absolute gem and made my trip so magical. She took immaculate care of me and had the most sunshine personality, I couldn’t be in better hands. I think she’s the nicest women I’ve ever met and a huge asset to the hotel. I will always remember her!
Dharma was very kind and always friendly and took some great photos of me by the pool when I asked!
Adi was amazing driver and host! His english was fantastic, all of the staff speak great english.
All of the staff are extremely friendly and kind, best hospitality I’ve ever received
The restaurant was to die for, some of the best meals ever. Flavours are incredible, quality of ingredients and an extremely nutritional take. Krishna and yuni served me breakfast and I always looked forward to their amazing company. The views from the restaurant balcony are great. I read one review saying breakfast portions are small and I’m utterly confused at this! you get a pastry, cut up fruit, a main dish, fresh juice and coffee or tea - I was stuffed! Food felt gourmet and nicer than any fancy brunch restaurant.
The resort grounds are jaw dropping beautiful. Extremely instagrammable if you want to show off where your staying! Feels like a real like AI generated pinterest kind of place.
The main pool was never too busy, i think thats because a lot of rooms have private pools so people tended to stay there, so no need to race for sun loungers.
Attention to detail is great, Fresh fluffy towels, even down to bath products they have vanilla, rose, coconut scented stuff which I assume is made locally which feels amazing on your skin.
The bathroom is more beautiful than most spas I’ve been to, a huge bath tab, amazing rain shower, incredible view from bathroom window of palm trees and rice fields.
The rooms are comfortable, have a fridge and good tv with netflix as well. There is a gorgeous balcony where you can sit and admire the nature.
The laundry service is excellent too, all my whites were perfect and nothing shrunk at all. Really nice clean smell on clothes.
This was a lifetime experience and I wished I booked a longer stay, when I booked this place there wasn’t many reviews so I was hesitant about committing to a long stay but please be this sign to you that it’s amazing and definitely book it!
My only tiny con is the hotel walls are a bit thin so I can hear people next door coughing or snoring. Also you can hear some nature cockerills in the morning and cricket’s at night, the nature noises are it’s not loud at all and very faint it’s because the bathroom has some outdoor elements the noise seeps in. No mosquito bites at all either.
If you do go to the centre it’s a 30 minute drive back to the resort so bare that in mind if thats an issue for you, I found it easy to find gojeks and grab so wasn’t a huge problem. Hotel will also help u organise sightseeing, tours and drivers to pick you up if you ever need it.
Thank you to the team for the...
Read morePro:||Exceptional staff: The team was incredibly friendly, professional, and courteous from the very first moment. Their warmth made the stay something very special.||Beautiful surroundings: The hotel is brand new and located in the midst of breathtaking nature—rice terraces, butterflies, fireflies, birds, and colourful flowers everywhere. Everything was very well maintained.||Peaceful and very natural atmosphere: Ideal for those seeking tranquility and a connection with nature away from the concrete, dust and dirt. The sounds of frogs at night add to the authentic, natural feel. It was simply beautiful.||Clean environment: Hardly any mosquitoes or flies, which was a pleasant surprise for such a lush area.||Nice facilities: The hot tub is great (although it's officially only open until 7 p.m., most guests used it later without any problems).||Picturesque location: A wonderful choice if you like to ride a scooter or hire a Grab driver for day trips – the area is remote but worth it due to it’s beautiful landscaping and gardens. We felt like being in a tropical, lush paradise for a moment.||Cons:|Overpriced and disappointing food: Restaurant prices were comparable to those of upscale European establishments, but the size or setup did not match the price. For example, a “bowl” dish consisted mainly of salad leaves with just a few small pieces of tofu and sweet potatoes — unacceptable for the price.||Pushy sales tactics: The hotel's tours were $50–$200 more expensive than when booked directly, and the staff seemed overly eager to sell packages. This left an unpleasant impression, as it seemed to be more about profit than the guest experience.||Noise level: Construction work nearby, agricultural activities, and the burning of waste at night caused unpleasant odors and disturbed the otherwise peaceful environment. In addition, other guests and motorcycles can be easily heard through the walls.||Accessibility: The road to the hotel is newly built but still bumpy and rocky – passable by scooter but not ideal for all travelers.||Construction quality: The building is not completely soundproofed, and there is mould visible in the shower, which is unfortunately typical for many places in Bali, so you can expect noise from neighbours or outside. The mould could be easily removed with some biodegradable bleach which is available in Bali. But it gives a poor impression as a tourist to already see degrade after the hotel is brand new. Also the big pool needs cleaning - the water was milky and there were small things floating from the is platoon which made it awkward to swim in it.||Overall this was our second favourite...
