We planned to go to Wanna as it was a must-see on most travel vlogs and lists for Bali that we looked at. We were so excited we booked the Kayon Resort to stay thinking it was the same place (apparently it happens a lot! Kayon Jungle is a different place though). We bought Wanna Jungle tickets on top not realising our entry would've been free anyway (our blunder, so we accept we didn't get any kind of refund or freebie). It was different to what we imagined unfortunately. The views are second to none, no doubt there. Weirdly, the place felt a bit deserted. There weren't many people around so there wasn't much atmosphere. Service wasn't great in the sense that everything was very expensive once the 21% surcharge was added. For happy hour, you're limited to choosing two of the same cocktail (most places just charge for the more expensive one but that wasn't an option?), and there were a number of mistakes made by staff (overcharged for taxi and had to refund, offered a welcome beer then had the offer retracted). Ironically, Grab isn't allowed in so you have to use their own taxi to leave. We'd paid for entry in advance and there was still a push for us to buy more with staff frequently approaching us (massage, premium drinks options). They are very friendly but it felt harrass-ey pretty quick. We paid for silver passes which gave us two sunbeds with an umbrella which a worker allowed us to pitch, then within 30 minutes said we had to take it down because apparently it could fall over in the breeze. My partner and I are super pale so we had to find some shade. They couldn't offer us an alternative. We walked around and found some sun beds on a lower level with less of a breeze and they let us move there to have an umbrella pitched. Within 30 minutes again the same worker tried convincing us there was a safety issue and that we shouldn't have the umbrella open?? Other people had theirs open and the air was almost still. They let us keep it up and urged us to be careful. If there are problems with their umbrellas you'd think they would fix them? It's unreasonable to spend $100AUD with no shade. Because of the orientation of the place, there was pretty much no sunshine left by 3.30pm and most people had left, the place had all but died. The pools were ice cold except for two tiny heated ones. I've seen some comments about children not being allowed at Wanna and to be fair, I can see the stairs and heights around the place being potentially dangerous, so I can understand that. It was a nice place to read a book (music was soft in the distance) but overall not worth it. We agreed we should've stayed at our hotel for the day instead and avoided the extra work (can definitely recommend The Kayon Resort, it was so easy there, with similar beautiful...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar, nestled within the Kayon Jungle Resort, I knew I had discovered something truly special. The club’s design, inspired by the breathtaking curves of Bali’s Tegalalang Rice Terrace, offers a serene escape over three distinct levels of infinity pools. Each pool, with its refreshing water and ample deck space, invites you to a state of relaxation and sun-soaking pleasure like no other.
The real standout feature for me was the unique collection of shaded cabanas and the circular seating pod. These exclusive spots provide not just comfort but an ambiance that captures the essence of luxury relaxation in a lush river valley setting. It’s a day club that brilliantly blends exclusivity with the natural beauty of Bali, creating an unmatched atmosphere.
Choosing the gold package deal was a decision I won’t regret. It came with access to a private cabana and 130 AUD worth of credits to spend, elevating the experience to a whole new level of enjoyment and relaxation. This, combined with the stellar service and the quality of refreshments and snacks available, made every moment spent at Wanna Jungle feel like a slice of paradise.
In comparison to other crowded spots in Bali, Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar stands out for its tranquility, stunning views, and the sheer luxury of space and privacy. It was the perfect day escape, offering a blissful retreat from the usual hustle and bustle of tourist-packed places.
My advice to anyone visiting Bali is to make a stop at Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar a top priority. Whether you’re looking to unwind in a cabana with a good book, enjoy the sun from the infinity pools, or simply take in the stunning views with a cocktail in hand, this place has it all. It’s not just a day club; it’s an experience that captures the heart of Bali’s enchanting beauty and the essence of what a true day club should be.
In conclusion, Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar is an exceptional find in Bali, offering an unparalleled day club experience in the heart of nature. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in luxury, serenity, and the natural beauty of this...

If you're looking for a place with superb architecture and awesome swimming pools, this is the place to be.
Wanna Jungle Pool & Bar is a part of Kayon Jungle Resort and the estate is huge. The road going there can be slightly rocky, but it's no problem for city car to go through.
To get in, you need to purchase certain passes. Please do kindly check the best deals available via their website and instagram. During my visit, there were two very cheap packages of IDR 50k during the weekdays and IDR 100k during the weekend. There are also standard packages of which the value can be converted to F&B credit. So basically they ask you to purchase certain amount of their products to enjoy the facility. And considering the available facility, food, and drinks quality and price point, i think these are great deal.
For practicality purpose, and if you are planning to swim and spend the day there, i would recommend you to purchase any package that gives you access to their outdoor area as if you need to put your stuffs at the indoor seating, it could be kind of a hassle. Otherwise, if you're only looking for a meal and photos, their Bronze package would suffice.
There are three levels of pool there. Two of which are decent for actual swimming as they have decent depth (around 1.4 M) while the top level is only around 0.75 M in depth. Each level is equipped with hot water jacuzzi. Considering the place is located in Ubud, please be informed that the pool water can be kind of cold.
For the F&B, i'd say the quality is great and the price point they offer is fair. I really enjoyed the Pork Ribs. You can also opt for a romantic evening dinner here as they provide the place with a great scenery.
All in all, loved my time there and i would...
