Pawana Villas — Hotel in Pulau Bali

We stayed here for 6 nights and unless you have something planned every single day, I wouldn’t recommend. This villa is around 30-40 mins from Ubud Centre and there really isn’t a lot going on, it’s very isolating and the staff speak very little English.

The entire time we were there we saw one other villa being used, so again we felt super isolated.

The first night we got there, one room had blood stains on the sheets, we asked them to change them and they said “in the morning” we insistent they did it that night and they did do it for us. Later in the week I noticed our sheets also had old blood stains too. The bathroom had stains on the tiles that freaked out my partner and the bathtub looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for a very long time.

Our daughter slept upstairs and the door wouldn’t lock and because we were all freaked out because of the location, and Villa conditions we told her to put stuff in front of the door (to lock it).

The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the villa itself was a let down...

Nice villa but not well cared. Friendly staff but little English. Towels, bedsheets, and mosquitoes bed shield with stains. All toilet dispenser with very low product qty and didn’t refilled even when requested, very dark rooms and outside area impossible to make up or properly see your stuff. Low quality wifi. A few lamps to be changed (pool and downstairs on my villa), garden not that well cared, a lot of cockroaches, villa not locked after room service. In general good villa, but these smalls details made our 5 days less enjoyable and little disappointing as with nothing nearby we supposed to use and stay in the villa for longer...

At first glance, the villa looks very nice - two floors, large beds, a shower with stones on the floor, a swimming pool. It is possible to rent scooters right at the reception

About negatives: The bathroom had mold, high humidity, and clothes were always wet. The staff is quite slow - breakfasts take a long time to prepare, some menu items are not available for ordering. The entrance to the courtyard can be locked, but not the room Itself. Cleaning is only on request and is rather mediocre. The bedding and towels are not in the best shape. The internet connection was really bad and we used our mobile...
