I’m leaving this review because I chose this hotel based on all the good reviews, but it was awful. From the moment we arrived, I was let down. The bathrooms at reception were so run down that I immediately worried this would reflect the rest of the resort.||When we checked into our room, there was a strange smell, and you could see so much dirt on the couches. The view overlooked a wall, the pool of the room below us, a river running into the ocean filled with litter, and an empty piece of land also covered in litter and construction vehicles (Floor 2).||We asked to move rooms because the couches looked so dirty and the view was so off-putting. They were fully booked, so could only offer the same room type on Level 5. We checked it out first—it honestly wasn’t much better—but it was late at night and we had been travelling all day. Although I wanted to check out and find another hotel (something I’ve never felt before, and we travel a lot), we decided to make the most of it.||The next day, when walking to breakfast, the entire way smelled like sewage. Breakfast was very average, the coffee was bad, and after one bite—combined with the smell—I decided I couldn’t eat there.||We then checked out the pool, which was murky, and after swimming we smelled strongly of chlorine. The towels were once blue and white, but now looked more like blue and beige with stains all over them. The pool lounger cushions were also stained and looked dirty.||Everything in this hotel felt so run down and unclean that I couldn’t bear to spend any time at the pool. We never ate breakfast there again and went out every day, even though it was included.||The pictures online are not at all a true indication of what you’re getting. Perhaps they were accurate many years ago, but the hotel now looks nothing like them. It needs major renovations. The whole experience was so disappointing.||We decided not to check out since we were only staying three nights and had a lot planned, so we weren’t at the hotel much. But honestly, I couldn’t wait for the day we could leave.||Please only book this hotel if you’re expecting a very run-down 3-star experience, or rather stay elsewhere. And please note, I’m not a fussy or difficult person—I'm writing this to warn others, because the reviews I read were so misleading. I hope you don’t make the same...
Read moreLarge rooms, we had an oceanview room which was wonderful, overlooking the ocean and up towards Cafe Del Mar
Unfortunately had to swap rooms mid stay as there was no hot water in the first room, second room had hot water but taps were very odd it was either cold or boiling hot with no in between
Day 1 there were no bath towels in our room until 8pm that night, took several requests to eventually get some delivered
One of the downstairs villas also had a pool directly below us, which was fine, except the solar water heater for the pool was on our roof, which meant a continual gurgling sound 24 hours a day
The room itself was run down, it feels like it used to be a residential apartment building or a timeshare but with a lot of timeshare people staying there long term, as maintenance was definitely not what you'd normally find in a hotel, lots of broken things in the room, peeling paint, mirrors that had the reflective backing coming away
Breakfast was awful, don't even bother
Long walk to the rooms also
On a plus side, very convenient access to Finn's and all things nearby due to the rear carpark and a dirt track connecting - staff were quite friendly
The rooms were large and would be good for a family needing multiple spaces
Pool area was lovely, except they had a birthday party for a young child one of the days and the pool was overridden by noisy 7 year old children - one of the other days some european women had their kids of a similar age down there running amok also, screeching and being generally a nuisance
Would I stay again? Probably not - however for the price paid ($120 a night) it was good value for money,...
Read moreAfter 30 visits to Bali, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, there were serious issues. No cold drink was offered on arrival, and our room wasn’t ready.||While we waited, we checked out the pool area — and were shocked. The cabanas were rusted, there was visible slime floating in the pool, and the towel station smelled strongly of urine. When I asked for toilet paper in the poolside toilet, I was told to go and get my own because there was none in the cubicle. Completely unacceptable.||The room itself was in terrible condition — old, neglected, and clearly not maintained. Fixtures were tarnished and rusted, and the toilet didn’t work. Even more alarming, we noticed that several hotel room door keypads had been smashed off, and many doors were padlocked shut from the outside. This raised serious concerns about security and overall safety.||To be fair, the front of house staff were lovely — and visibly upset that we were so disappointed we decided to leave after just two hours. They tried their best, but the situation was beyond what they could fix.||When we contacted the manager, instead of offering any understanding or solution, he forced us to sign a non-cancellation/no-refund agreement. This felt highly inappropriate, especially considering the state of the property.||We immediately left and found alternative accommodation. I’ve never had to do that before in Bali — and I sincerely hope I never have to again.||This hotel is absolutely not up to Bali standards. It was a deeply disappointing experience, and I would never recommend...
