Morabito Art Villa — Hotel in Pulau Bali

The worst rooms I have ever been in Bali. Air conditioner not doing what it’s supposed to. Rented for 3 nights but we left after 1 night. My son had so many mosquito bites. The so called art is not art in my opinion. Don’t believe the photos online, they are old photos. I was shocked when I arrive, totally different from the photos. The beach is beautiful but the rooms are just very bad. This is a very creepy property which give you goosebumps. Even the staff don’t deny it. They are scared with the “ART” placed in the property. This feels more like “ART” warehouse rather than villa. The staff said tombstones is considered “ART” by the owner. I believe there are some placed in the property. If you want to rent this place, ask the manager to take actual current photos of the rooms first. Don’t just take photos of the bed but around the room. This neglected and aging property is dirty, smelly, and unhygienic. Bed linen is threadbare and filthy. Years of sweat stains compose tie-die patterns on the pillows. Air conditioning units smell mouldy (if they work). We had no running water for two days. Glass top tables had mould, bird excrement, and cracks. Chairs and sofas were stained and broken. Their website needs updating as the photos are deceitful. Several doors had no locks. The bathrooms had mould on the walls, cracks in the tiles. The garden was pretty, but that is truly the only nice thing I can think of to say. We complained on arrival, but the owner Marie, was conveniently overseas so the untrained staff simply moved us from room to room each day as more issues arose. We wrote a letter of complaint to Marie who wrote back to say that we "dont appreciate art" . Management and manner are sorely lacking in this decrepit villa. It was a nice party, though very crowded but it is like that in many places. But at the end, security staff was very rude. We wanted to take our jacket that we left on the entrance and the person didn’t let us go there, said it’s ok you can go that way and will take your jacket. We asked 10 times if he was sure about that. We went the way he said and exited the place. Then wanted to go back but another staff said no, I don’t care, go to the line to the entrance if you want.
