Read moreHusband and I didn’t stay in Vue Beach Club. We stayed in Montigo Resort in seminyak and we brought our own towels from the resort for volleyball at Canggu beach. They are blue and white. (I’ll get to that later)
We met a few friends at Canggu beach and I decided that I needed a drink and went to get a table from the VBC hostesses. Very quickly I was asked if I was staying with Vue, I said no. A minimum spending of 250,000idr per pax was compulsory. I understand that because it is the same in Singapore. So , 500,000idr was our expected expenditure at VBC. Totally fine with it. I love the onion and calamari fritters. Never had anything so yummy before! I wondered what your chef used in the batter. Amazing. Love the pool, it wasn’t very crowded. Love the space at VBC. The problem came when we left for seminyak. The towels at VBC are exactly the same as Montigo. We were stop not once, not twice but THRICE by your security for “kidnapping” your towels. The last security guard shouted at us “EH COME BACK COME BACK!!” With him clicking his fingers, instructing us to go over to his guard post. I told him that that was the THIRD TIME being asked to stop because of the towels. And pls, WE DID NOT TAKE ANY TOWEL FROM YOUR TOWEL STAND.
I understand that there might have been errants guests who steal towels, pillows, chair, hot water flask or even tv! But if you have to doubt an “outsider guest” who pays a minimum spending at your beach club for 2 pieces of towels, please do restrict your club to be “RESORT GUESTS ONLY”. This would help you save a lot of troubles, and your guards won’t have to run after guests like us for towels.
Anyway sunset was great. Volleyball was great. Once again the onion and calamari fritters were great. Service...
Read moreWe go to this place often because the pool is great with kids especially, but the circumstances are getting worse and worse, today was the second time reaching a shocking level. A few months ago like almost every time they managed to mess up every single order, but on top of that the water in the pool was green and in the changing room out of 3 toilets 2 were literally covered in sh*r and blood and only 1 shower was working, that wasn’t only dirty, but there was a used tampon in it too… I ended up going to the gm of the hotel to complain, who did not care and did not even offer anything to make up for the horrible and disgusting experience… I did not write a review but today it was again shocking on many levels, so today I decided to put that also in the review. The pool today was in a state, that I have never seen anywhere, sooo disgusting that it’s outrageous… not only totally green (you couldn’t even see your feet in the water) but someone swimming on top of it in patches and around the cabanas so slimy that the stairs were dangerously slippery already, so I think it hasn’t been cleaned for weeks!!! The food in general is quite bad, there are a few edible things on the menu, but they changed it and the only thing that actually was great, the Vietnamese chicken salad they removed and refused to make it… I tried to order summer roles instead without onions because I’m allergic… they made it but with peanut sauce with onions and they haven’t even told me before… when I told them that I can’t eat it, they offered thousand island sauce instead… obviously I sent it back… and lost my appetite… but they still tried to make me pay for the minimum consumption for the sunbeds after this… outrageous and...
