My husband and I had a really lovely time at Natura Resort & Spa. We wanted to start our honeymoon off immersed in culture, nature and tranquility before heading to the more party scene of Seminyak. This resort was exactly what we were looking for, we wished we stayed a little longer! Ubud is a really cool area that has a lot to offer and is a great central location to many things, and the resort is right in the middle of Ubud. On our first night we took the hotel shuttle to the city center and we were able to easily take a Grab Taxi back. The roads are definitely narrow so it’s quite the adventure to get to and from the resort, but well worth it.|We didn’t know what to expect when we first arrived in Bali but Natura Resort & Spa did not disappoint. We stayed in a panoramic pool villa and it was perfect for us on our first morning to come out and relax by our private pool & day bed. We didn’t notice too many bugs which was something we were worried about in the jungle, just some ants but they didn’t bother us. Inside the villa is was comfortable and clean. There was water & clean towels provided everyday. The staff was so kind and greeted us by name and were always eager to help and arrange things for us. The breakfast each morning was a treat and we even saw monkeys in a tree on our last day! We had dinner one night in the restaurant as well and it was so good! It was easy to book a massage at the spa. We each got Balinese massage which my husband and I agreed was one of the best massages we had ever gotten, better than any massage we’ve gotten in the states! You will not find all the bells and whistles of a western style hotel here, but you will be comfortable and taken care of at Natura Resort & Spa and we definitely recommend staying here for a few days, especially for a couples or...
Read moreWe stayed at Natura resort for 2 nights in June 2024 (from 21 June to 23 June). The hotel was very different then our expectation and anyways from any international standard of hotels in a country which is primarily dependent on tourism. To start off with the hotel is not very big, we had booked 3 villas with a pool. The rooms are nice in the first place but then when you spend sometime you realise the presence of many small insects, lizards and gekos in the room. These insects make a weird sound while at night making it very scary at times and not to mention the presence of big size insects in the room which always present a fear of them entering your luggage so you have to be careful. At night the hotel becomes absolutely dark and dingy and it is scary to move out as you hardly see anyone in there. Food choices are very limited. We were wondering why we didn't see any breakfast pics anywhere as they don't have any buffet spread for breakfast and there is limited set out of which you have order. Limited set means only omelette or sandwich. And you can't have both. While ordering food at night also the staff tries to discourage you from ordering by saying they don't have raw material but when you push them they were ready to make 3 pizzas as against one which they mentioned to us in the beginning. Overall not a great stay i would say. Yes the good part is the pool in the panoramic pool villa which was decent size and we had fun however the worst part was when at midnight a huge lizard entered our room and we spent the night in fear. Pls look for options if travelling with family as there are no bathroom doors rooms are not properly lit.
The housekeeping staff was nice and prompt on requests.
All in all I won't recommend it for a...
Read moreNatura was absolutely wonderful, we were a family group of 3 boys, parents and granny and it was the perfect setting for us on our arrival in Bali. The rooms were huge, beds were enormous and so comfy, we spent a week here decompressing from our busy lives and adored it. The food in the restaurant was delicious with a great range from local indonesian dishes and enough other European options to keep everyone happy, the main pool was one of our favourite spots in the whole of Mali, macaque monkeys came and joined us along the edge one afternoon which was hilarious, just gazing into the beautiful rainforest and listening to the sounds was heaven. I can close my eyes now and be back there and feel more relaxed. The service was wonderful, friendly, helpful, anything we needed was dealt with. Shuttles to and from Ubud made it easy, and they arranged a driver for a whole day up to Kintamani and Tampaksiring which was great value and he was so lovely. We really enjoyed settling into Bali during our stay at Natura. We also had fantastic massages which were easy to arrange and so wonderful for helping us relax. Small touches like the bathroom toiletries were really nice too. Just across the road is the Bali Jungle Paddle centre where you can play paddle ball a bit like tennis and get a coffee, our boys loved this too. I strongly recommend staying at Natura, it's so close to Ubud and we felt welcomed, safe, cared for and relaxed. We loved being in the heart of nature but also in big, cool, clean rooms. A really...
