We stayed here for 6 nights as a couple. The view from our room was fantastic, and the location is convenient with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. That said, there are several issues that need improvement.
First, there are many dogs around the guesthouse, and they constantly defecate on the narrow road leading to the property. The road is littered with dog feces every day, and despite being careful, we still ended up stepping on fresh ones. It was terrible.
The shower produces hot water, but it runs out very quickly. There is no refrigerator in the room. Cleaning was clearly inadequateâdust and trash had built up in hidden corners. (The inside of the bedside lamp, in particular, was full of dust and very unhygienic.)
Unlike other guesthouses in Ubud, which usually clean the room and change the towels, this place didnât clean our room even once during our 6-night stay, nor did they replace the bath towels.
The Wi-Fi is extremely unstable. If you need to work on a laptop, I wouldnât recommend staying here. When I asked the male owner about the Wi-Fi problem, he became irritated, did nothing to help, and was completely uncooperative. (He muttered something in the local languageâit might have been an insult. Either way, it left a very bad impression.)
Every morning the male owner prepared breakfast and brought it to our room, but he never greeted us. He would just place the tray on the table in silence and leave. Even when we greeted him, he ignored us every time, so eventually we stopped trying. As other reviews mention, he seems emotionally immatureâsometimes smiling, other times arrogant, with very unstable moods. His behavior was unpleasant and honestly made us feel uncomfortable.
Breakfast was served without any drinks. Coffee or tea, like in other guesthouses, would have been appreciated. The quality of breakfast also varied a lotâsometimes it seemed carefully prepared, sometimes not at all. The serving time got later and later each day. By the end, breakfast arrived nearly 30 minutes late, and he wouldnât even start preparing it until we reminded him. On the last day, breakfast came 50 minutes late, which forced us to change our plans.
Overall, it felt as if he was taking his role as a guesthouse owner for granted.
That being said, his family was always cheerful, friendly, and kind to us, and we are grateful for their hospitality.
But overall, I donât recommend staying here for a long period. For the sake of your mental well-being, itâs better to...
Read moreWe had an amazing stay at the homestay for 10 days. The great view of the rice fields and the nice sunrise with a sight of the volcano were breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and big, and the hot shower in the spacious and very clean bathroom was refreshing. We enjoyed the great balcony and the natural, quiet atmosphere. The breakfast every morning was very good and always changing. The kitchen was very big and very clean, and we cooked there many times. The only problem we had, was the WiFi. It didnât really work well, so we had to use our data for working on our laptop. The owners were super friendly, and we could rent a scooter easily. There were many supermarkets and ATMs around, as well as restaurants and small warungs. The local market was a delight. It took us only 15-20 minutes to get to the center by scooter. The Tegallalang rice terraces were just 30 minutes away, and the waterfalls were 15-30 minutes away. We loved our stay; in 7 months of traveling, it was one of the best accommodations we had! We would love to come back if we come to Ubud again! Thank...

Batu, ATV, rafting and transportation since she has such good connections and contract you will get everything at a cheaper price(when compared for an international). The whole family is welcoming. They also offer airport pickup please ask them to pick you up. You have complimentary breakfast available. Don't forget to try woodcarving it was an amazing experience.
