We stayed at Putu Bali Villa & Spa during our recent trip to Bali and really enjoyed the calm and quiet this place offered right in the middle of Seminyak. It's tucked away enough to feel serene and private, but still close to shops, restaurants, and the beach, best of both worlds.||The villas are spacious and have a traditional Balinese charm, with lots of wood details and outdoor bathrooms that make the experience feel really unique and immersive. Read moreChecked in and was put in different rooms to what we booked (originally booked a 2 bedroom villa but got 2 separate rooms, interconnecting door could not be unlocked, completely impractical when travelling with kids). Staff advised these were the only rooms remaining|Rooms were run down, dated, full of mosquitos and not sealed properly with holes in the door and roof.|The tap in bathroom sink would only work intermittently so needed to wash our hands in the shower.|There's a loud Aussie bar in front of the hotel as well as a noisy staff room so difficult to sleep.|Out on the street, young local gangsters gather by the minimart shouting and stealing in the evening, this area feels pretty sketchy.||We checked out after the first night and the staff wouldn't off any refund on the remainder of our stay despite not receiving the room...
