If you want to go to this place, make sure you've got a reservation, we did not and we were sat were outside - It was noisy and the fumes from all the bikes riding past made it reasonably unpleasant.
The food was served within minutes, which was somewhat concerning, it was very average presentation overall - they were small portions and very expensive considering the quality. And we were all done within 35 minutes! Not exactly the evening out. I expected, it seemed very rushed and we all noted that we were still hungry afterwards...
We had three pasta dishes, two of which was just pesto and pasta (very cheap to produce) and I had the seafood pasta with the smallest calamari I've ever seen, three prawns and about eight tiny clams, we had a bottle of water, a smoothie and a glass of locally produced wine.
We finished with a dessert each - a gelato, a tiramisu and pancakes and it came to a fraction under $100 Australian (997k Rp) which is a massive amount of money for Bali. I won't be...
Read moreMe and my wife stayed around the corner and visited here twice over a 4 day period, our first time we both had probably the best Italian sandwhich in our opinions.
We have ciabatta with mozzarella, basil, tomato and pancheta with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and oil.
Completely mouth watering and tasty, highly recommend!
You have the option to create your own sandwich or pick one from the menu.
On our second visit we opted for the pasta, which was very al dent and tasted incredibly fresh. Our only quibble would be the portion sizes, but we substituted this for a mix of breads with balsamic.
The environment inside was nothing but peaceful and calm and really felt like a different part of the world which was impressive.
Staff were friendly and were more than happy to explain each dish to us (Uneducated UK travellers!).
We highly recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic meal or even just a quick bite to...
Read moreVisited a total of 3 times in a week, service is cordial and efficient. Good ambience with a clean restroom, comfortable spot to spend the afternoon or evening with company or just alone with a book. The fresh pasta is great but taste can vary depending on the sauce accompanying it. I recommend the scoglio and pomodorini e straciatella, as well as the carpaccio roast beef and the porchetta. The salad was good as well.
Skip the carpaccio piovra, the octopi were too thinly slice to have any bite to it and didn’t taste fresh. The dish was also under seasoned and lacked flavor. For the sauces, the ragu di anatra and the nduja were both overly salty and one-dimensional in flavor for me.
The pastries were decent but not memorable; perhaps best if you caught them fresh out of the oven. Not much of note about the coffee or tea.
The place also has special of the day sauces, and are well worth a try when you happen...
