Major disappointment. The worst hotel we stayed at during our entire stay in Bali. Problems arose immediately upon check-in - there was no hand soap or towels in the room, and the safe didn't work. The hotel is very old and in need of a major renovation. It may have deserved 4 stars 20 years ago, but currently it deserves 2 stars at best. The entire complex is very dirty and neglected. There was an anthill and hair in the room next to the bed, and the floor was never cleaned throughout our stay. The garden needs a lot of work, and the pathways are dirty.
Breakfast is a huge disappointment. Not all dishes are labeled, so it's unclear what is available to eat. There is no fresh bread, cold cuts, or cheeses. The croissants that were served were two days old, hard, and inedible. Coffee is only available in a pot, despite there being an espresso machine present, and when I asked for a latte during breakfast, I was told that I had to pay extra for it. All other hotels we stayed at offered any type of coffee I desired as part of the breakfast. The staff in the restaurant couldn't speak English, making it difficult to communicate how I wanted my scrambled eggs cooked. I had to ask a third person for help with translation. Furthermore, the staff was unfriendly. Instead of greeting guests, they would immediately ask for the room number, which is impolite. When guests asked for an umbrella to leave the hotel premises in rainy weather, they were denied due to a limited number of umbrellas (in all other hotels we stayed at, umbrellas were available in each room for every guest). In summary, we would leave breakfast hungry and go out to eat in town. The standard has nothing to do with 4 stars; the hotel seems to have stopped at the level...
Read moreMy wife and I spent four unforgettable days of our honeymoon at Hotel Royal Casa Ganesha in Ubud, Bali. From the very first moment, we felt welcomed and well taken care of.
Breakfast was a highlight every morning - a diverse selection of delicious dishes left nothing to be desired. Our room was impeccably clean and in perfect condition, a true oasis of well-being.
We were particularly impressed by the exceptional friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff members. They were always helpful and accommodating. A complimentary shuttle service to the center of Ubud was available, and discounted taxi rides to any destination could be booked at any time.
A special commendation goes to Ayu, a staff member who not only served us charmingly during dinner and cocktails but also shared many interesting things about Bali and provided valuable travel tips. Her warm nature made our stay truly special.
Hotel Royal Casa Ganesha is a real gem in Ubud. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning soon. A big thank you to the entire team for the...
Read moreI stayed at the Royal Casa Ganesha for only two days and honestly wanted to leave after moments of seeing the grounds. The only kind thing I have to say about this location is that the staff were absolutely pleasant and did the best to help when I needed it. My room felt equivalent to a Motel 6 in the states and I never stayed in one, but I could imagine if I did this would be it. The bathroom was dirty and had a very foul odor as did the room. There was mold on the window seal and the curtains were shabby and had holes in them. The couch in the room had a very disgusting stain on it. I literally have been in Bali for 9 months and this was by far the worst experience that I have had with an accommodation. This place has potential but needs serious serious renovations...
