I appreciate the management’s quick follow-up to my concerns. They showed real goodwill by offering complimentary small bites with fresh juice, a room upgrade, a 5 a.m. takeaway breakfast, and even a free airport drop-off. These thoughtful gestures made a strong impression.

That said, my stay was disturbed by unnecessary phone calls in the middle of the night—twice—because reception staff confused me with another guest, and again at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday - for a breakfast call I never requested. Instead of verifying details, the staff dialed my room blindly, which revealed a lack of training and professionalism. Being woken up at midnight and early morning for no reason is simply unacceptable in a hotel of this standard.

I recommend that management implement clear policies: no in-room phone calls unless requested by the guest, and no room access without the guest present. This will avoid disturbing guests who expect a restful stay.

This hotel is suitable only for stopping over on out-of-town trips passing through Semarang. The staff is friendly and their service is okay. The location is strategic and on a corner (hook), coincidentally in front of it there is a night market. For an old hotel, the renovations are quite good and adequate so it has a modern impression.

But I was disappointed requested a non-smoking room, I was instead given a room on the smoking floor. Our door was already closed tightly and we decided not to go out to the night market so that the smoke wouldn't come in, yet it could still be smelled inside the room because there was one room whose guests were smoking but their door was opened. I have asthma and there's a child with me, so this was very disappointing. I told FO but no action. For guests who want to stay here, avoid the 6th floor if you want to choose non-smoking.

Very good hotel! I would come again. Great location, and great service. Morning breakfast offers varied options as well. Room was big with comfortable bed and pillows. However, it is not perfect. I suggest the hotel management to do deep and chemical washing of the toilets. My room toilet looks grimy and the grout was yellow and dirty. Better care need to be looked into. As for the location, it definitely in a good location. However, it is not a tall hotel with only 5 levels. Hence you will be able to hear the sounds from the road, as well as calls to prayers (as early as 4am). Also, the hotel is next to a big field, and hosted some events. At 6am, they were hosting some exercise group and their microphone was loud. It was not a good nights sleep. Suggestion for the hotel to upgrade and insulate the windows. All in all, I would come back again though. Hope to see many upgrades...
