LAWANG INN RESTAURANT — Hotel in Sumatra

Dangerous and fraud! We were only there for 10 minutes and monkeys already stole our things because the host's child opened our room door and left it open! Of course we know that you have to be careful with the monkeys, but the host didn't understand that and called us stupid. The child appears to be very badly behaved, throwing stones in the face and pinching from behind. The window locks in the room are broken and the bathroom door cannot be locked. Since the bathroom has several large openings, there is a constant risk of monkeys invading (there are a lot of them there that have no fear whatsoever). After we kindly explained to the host that we wanted to change accommodation due to these facts, they insisted on payment because we had used the toilet (which, by the way, had no toilet paper, we used ours). As we were leaving the hotel, the host started speaking aggressively and rudely to my wife and the situation became dangerous, we quickly left the area and advise everyone not to visit this property! The hotel is located right at the entry in the village, next to many little stores and local food places. Easy to acces by car or motorbike comparing to the other hotels across the bridge. For people going trekking is a good place to stay, the room is clean, bed ok, pillows are kinda hard, bathroom with shower, big nice balcony, wifi.|They kept our bags while we were two days away in the jungle and when we came back got the same room immediately. AC in the room, but need to pay more to use it, there is a fan also.|Breakfast was served on the balcony. The place is very basic, no hot water though (no info about this while booking) and taking a really cold shower at night is a bit unpleasant (after all this is not a jungle hut). The staff is rather disinterested, certainly unhelpful, sometimes even rude. The day before, you ask for breakfast at 7:30 (you have a bus) for the next morning, you are at the table at 7:25, but they make two toasts for 35 minutes (you are the only guests).
