Villa Delle Palme — Hotel in Aci Castello

The pictures you see on the website are not the apartments you stay in but the owners home!!!! Positives lovely pool after that you cannot be positive. Air con in only 2 bedrooms so bedroom 3 was so hot we had to sleep with door open and were ate alive by mosquitoes. We were told that there was a put up bed in the living room but it was a plastic sofa!!! We had to move the spare bed out of the one bedroom for one of our party but was shouted at for this. To our horror we went out one night and someone had been in our apartment and taken our bed throws away. When the owner Cinzara was confronted she was really aggressive stating we had left a light on so the maid went to turn it off? She shouted stating we should not move furniture and we didnt need covers???? The point was no one should go into our rooms when we were out and we needed the covers and she refused The apartment was very dated and plug sockets dangerous especially as we have children. The one bathroom stank of urine we had to buy air freasheners which didnt help. The jaccuzzi is 1 euro for 2 minutes yes you have to pay!!!! Ants are a reall nuisance. The Curtain pelmet fell from the wall in our room as it was broken and most of the blinds did not work. The iron did not fit the sockets and although asked twice we were not given another one. We thought we were getting a ground floor room but, were on the 1st floor. The beach over the road is inaccessible as its just rocks. You definately need a car to get about but there are some beautiful beaches and Etna land was brilliant. We loved Sicilly but, would avoid this accomodation. Others were complaining while we were there too. Apparently Cerzinas daughter is a lawyer and she likes to quote this to you in a threatening manner. Unlike the parents the son was helpful and friendly. Please see pictures. Relocating to Catania, I was looking for a temporary place to stay until permanently housed. I stayed there for over 2 weeks and my review is pretty much acknowledging the other reviews. Apartments are rundown with old furniture and virtually no maintenance. Our toilet seat broken, shower head broken, oven range fan broken, cheap accessories. The pool area is the only bright spot. The pool is large surrounded by palm trees and nice long chairs. However the water is murky and u must pay to use the whirlpool area. 1 euros for 3 min. The garden areas are woredown and old, wifi signal almost inexistant, and to our dismay we found a lot of starving sick cats on the premises un cared for. The owners live on the premises in a house, husband is extremely rude with no manners. Complete sociopath, treats customers like trash on top of being cheap and dishonnest. He tried to charge me 15 euros for an old shower head that was leaking and literally chased us out when I refused to pay explaining it was broken in advance. Lastely walking out of the residence is at your own risks as there is no side walks and heavy traffic. It is not waking distance from anything worthy. No beach nearby either. Everything was simply perfect! The house, with a stunning terrace overlooking Mount Etna, is equipped with every comfort, while the garden with its pools is spacious, meticulously maintained, and exceeded all our expectations. The covered area near the pools adds an extra touch of comfort, making this place ideal even for smart working in a breathtaking setting. Parking is always available upon return, which we greatly appreciated.||The quality-price ratio is excellent.||The host welcomed us personally with great hospitality and provided valuable tips about the area. The surroundings offer a wealth of natural and cultural attractions, so much so that time is never enough to explore everything this wonderful region has to offer.||A large supermarket is just a few minutes' drive away, but the town center is also within walking distance. There is a wide selection of pizzerias and typical restaurants, and it is also very convenient to order a pizza and enjoy it on the house’s terrace.||This place is perfect for a vacation with family or friends: the large spaces allow everyone to find their own corner of relaxation.
