We chose Grandi Trulli for a two day stay during Xmas as we weren’t sure if anything would be open. We came prepared to self cater. In fact many places were open but as we had ingredients we proceeded to make our own pasta. The kitchenette has everything needed to cook for yourself on a stove top (no oven or microwave) and it was a nice change to eat when we wanted rather than waiting until 7.30 when most restaurants open in the evening. There was olive oil, balsamic vinegar and salt which was appreciated. ||||Host Stefano is so kind. Everything about our stay was excellent - the place was very clean and had lots of provisions for breakfast. I particularly liked the fresh coffee I brewed each morning. We brought our own bread which we preferred to the white sliced and packaged dry breads. The fruit juice and yoghurts were great. Plenty fresh seasonal fruit available as well. Not to forget the home baked cakes!||||My only criticism is the size of the bed. It is such a spacious Trullo that a king size bed could easily fit. The bed was comfortable and we slept soundly it was just a little cramped for our liking. ||||The position was perfect. You are in the centre of the action within a few minutes walk. Alberobello is a magical place - especially during the festive season with all the beautiful lights. Worthy of a couple of days to really absorb the atmosphere. Was nice to see many Italian tourists. It’s a special place for them too. Will never forget our time in Alberobello staying in our own Trullo. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly...
Totalmente...
Read moreYou cannot do better than this place in Alberobello. The owner, Stefano is very kind, welcoming and gracious. The trulli themselves are beautifully kept, immaculately clean and well-presented, and include a well-stocked kitchenette and two compact bathrooms. Provisions for a plentiful breakfast to prepare and enjoy at one's own pace are included, including home-made sweets, for a much appreciated personal touch. The property is also ideally positioned just metres away from the main area of interest in town and free parking is readily available. A place to really enjoy, after all the day trippers have left and the town descends into restful, evening tranquility. Absolutely...
