Arrived stressed after driving around town for 2 hours looking for it to be met by a man waiting on a bench in a neighbouring road for us.||Took us to our trulli house - great location and it was an authentic trulli. Great so far! But otherwise awful. Sleeps 6 but only one tatty armchair. Bedding was dirty and needed replacing- sheets were clean but inadequate bedding and pillows need to thrown away.||We had booked a b&b through booking .com but it was a self catering property with inadequate facilities. The breakfast part was very poor quality supermarket products left for us on arrival day.||When the man( was he the owner?)came the next morning for payment, he announced it was cash only although we had given our credit card number to book it. Also tried to overcharge us. Told him as we were on way back to UK we did not have enough euros to pay cash. Offered to do BACs transfer to his bank but this didn't seem possible- don't know why! I asked for a receipt but he couldn't give us one. Said he would email it- haven't received one just a form in Italien which is in poor handwriting and doesn't seem to be a receipt.||We gave him all our cash and then had to tramp around the town on a Sunday for an hour to find a cash machine that would accept our card.||||We also found it odd that the Internet in the house used another company's username- are they connected to this company or was he accessing one of their premises nearby.||||We saw lots of other lovely trulli houses to rent which provided their breakfast at a local cafe- scattered accommodation.||||We would never return to this property and remain suspicious about the whole saga.||||The rest of our holiday was...

So, I would recommend this place very much to everyone. Just visiting this place during the daytime is no good. Stay there one night, enjoy a dinner in one of the trulli restaurant, walk and shop around in the town for full experience.
One problem, which I hope was solved by now, is that it was very cold at night. It was late November and there was not enough heat in the night. We read about this before our visit and brought a sleeping bag. But it was not enough. In addition, the electricity went out sometime in the night and in a pitch dark it was VERY difficult to find way around the room, especially the toilet. If these problems were not solved yet, I urge the owners...
Read moreWe met our host, Mariano, at a bar not far from where we had parked. He had secured a parking spot for us around the corner from our little trullo for the night. It was so quaint! Fully furnished with a kitchen nicely stocked. A nice little bed in an alcove. A little washroom. Very well located close to the town with restaurants and shops. Was a little cold in the room since it was cold outside. There was no heater. There was a fireplace with wood but no mention of us being able to use it. Good thing there were lots of blankets to keep us warm...
