Where do I begin to describe the perfect holiday? Should I begin with the perfect location? The entire house is so beautiful, on the inside as on the outside! Just like Marco an Tanja! The couple who runs the place are amazing! So friendly and helpful. For a nice restaurant recommendation or just a little chat, they always where there for us! We enjoyed the breakfast in front of the most amazing view we've ever seen with the most amazing cake! (Made by Tanja every day! So delicious! Please try the magic chocolate cake and thank me later) If you stay in this lovely location you can take a 7 minute walk to the center of the village for a boat rent to explore the lake or take the ferry to another village. Or you just use the day, to relax on the terrace and work on your tan or read a nice book. You always can order something to drink or a little snack. You also have a direct access to the lake which we very enjoyed! The location also has gated private parking, which we also used. The rooms are very nice and clean and we had the pleasure of a lake and garden view. The garden on the property is so lovely designed. I hope my review helped you decide to stay at this little paradise and you will enjoy it as much as we did! We will definitely come back and recommended it to every friend we have. Marco and Tanja, thank you for everything!

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Villa Marina during our first visit to Lake Como, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The beauty of the lake is undeniable, but what made our experience truly unforgettable was the care and hospitality we received from Alissa and her mom, Manuela. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely at home. Their warmth, kindness, and attention to detail are unmatched—this was by far one of the best customer service experiences we’ve ever had. You can tell they genuinely care about every guest and go above and beyond to make your stay special. The villa itself is stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by peaceful gardens and breathtaking views. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and soak in the charm of Lake Como. We are so grateful to Alissa and Manuela for making our stay so memorable. If you’re thinking of visiting Lake Como, staying at Villa Marina is an experience you won’t want to miss. To Alissa and Manuela—thank you both, sincerely. You made our trip one we’ll remember dearly.

All aspects of our stay were excellent! If only there were more accommodations like this in the world. Super high standard of cleanliness, very fast and easy communication during and after booking when doing modifications, warm welcome and genuinely wonderful service by Marco and Tanya who take excellent care of their guests. If you're looking for a more boutique style hotel in Lake Como (and not overcrowded huge hotels), Villa Marina should be on the top of your list. It only has 6 rooms I believe, so not many people go in and out - for a family with a little toddler like us a perfect setup during pandemic times. Private beach makes it easy to access the Lake whenever you like and if you like sunbathing you can use Solarium 1 (bottom porch) or Solarium 2 (upper porch) as Marco calls them. There is also a jakuzzi with lakeview for a romantic night wtih prosecco... I could go on an on about how great our stay was and can't wait to come back again. PS: If you book, ask Tanya for Chocolate lava cake with pear for breakfast and thank me later ;)

I can recommend the Villa Marina in Bellano highly. We stayed for 3 nights towards end of September 2023. Firstly, Bellano is a great place to stay on that side of the like. It is a train stop (next after Varenna) so is easy to get to. It is quiet and away from the hordes of tourists In Bellagio and to a lesser extent in Varenna. I cannot understand why everyone want to go to Bellagio. It is mobbed; hard to get to a restaurant and not that much to recommend it. You can easily skip it. Varenna is a much nicer town and the Villa Monastero has beautiful gardens. Restaurants there have beautiful views over the water. |But Bellano is quieter, is train stop or ferry stop away; cheaper and beautiful. The Villa Marina is a 6 roomed historic house on the lake with a magnificent patio and some rooms with lake view. Base yourself there and us the ferries as I did. (You need to time the ferry's so understand the timetable). The ferry is a 15 minute walk. It also has very nice garden area.|The Villa is run by Angelo who is the most helpful person I have ever come across in a hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. He can arrange a taxi at short notice to Varenna or the train station; is full of information; carried my bags upstairs (no elevator) and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast is fantastic (his assistant is Fulvia) and there is coffee all day. He arranged a pickup at the train station (12 EU) and a ride to the ferry with all my bags. |The room itself was smallish but all Italian rooms are. It was on the 1st floor overlooking the lake and was very comfortable. Showers are small in almost every hotel I stayed in. We stayed 3 days and it was great. It rained one day so I never got to visit the Orrido. I used it as a base to visit Bellagio; Varenna; Villa Carlotta; Tremezzo and Villa Balbienelo. |Highly recommended. (Learn the ferry timetable!). Happy to...
