first of all, Lisa, we wish to apologize that we got angry the night we came into Camere di via Montebello. We were jet lagged and very frustrated with the GPS which as you know directed us into the forest out of town! No one knew where via Montebello was! Even when you tried to meet us there; we had no idea where we were; we were getting stuck in small one way streets; then we found out there was no parking nearby (and as we said, we were there for a very expensive wedding and didn't want to find that we couldn't get to our car or it had been towed).||None of that was your fault, and you were very patient and very helpful and everything worked out fine, so we hope you can forgive us.||Now. For anyone who is looking here, do NOT use the Iphone GPS. it will take you on via Molini away from town into the country by another chalet, no where near the actual Camere. Use Google maps. Carducci is a hill town, and there is a castle at the top, the camere di via Montebello is a very small street directly across from the right hand staircase leading to the castle. ||Lisa was wonderful to work with, answered all our emails promptly, made adjustments promptly. The place had a keypad and the key was in the room door. The room was beautiful. The air conditioning worked well (important in italy in summer) and the shower did also. The breakfast was fine. The location was sensational.||Now, in case you need to know. This is a traffic free zone, only accessible for a couiple hours a day. Even out of those hours, when we needed to arrive or leave we could drive up, unload or load, and then move the car. A very short distasnce is public parking. Now, this was another problem. Although we had no problem there, it was very confusing whether it was free. The hotel says it is free, and we never paid. One day, however, a local left a spot and as he did, he gave us his chit to put on our dashboard. The reason all of this was important was that we were there for a formal wedding at Castle Segalari 1.5miles away, and if we for some reason couldn't park or find our car, we would have been in trouble. Just be aware of that. Overall, we never had a problem finding a spot, although a few times there were very few available. Next, the day of the wedding, there was a bike race IN TOWN! So there was another obstacle to our accessing both our hotel and parking. who knew...But it all worked out. ||so just be aware that parking is NOT on site, it is a few short blocks away, it appear(s) to be free. ||BTW, we not only loved the Camere, we loved C Carducci. ||Thank you Lisa, and again, we are so sorry that we...
