We stayed for 2 nights at the rainbow apartments in Colico and we all wished we were staying longer. The apartments are clean, modern and just lovely in general. The view of the lake from the room and rooftop balcony was amazing. It is || a 10 minute walk from the apartment to Colico centre, which was no problem at all for us. There is a restaurant in Colico centre called Blue River, which was really nice. We were keen to go to Belaggio for the day but the host Manuela advised the links to Bellagio are not easy, and suggested we went to Veranna instead. We tool thos advice and got the train to Varenna for the day which was also lovely. I think you can get the ferry to Varenna too but we were not sure how to buy tickets/where to go to get the ferry etc. The train is very easy but make sure once you buy your tickets at the station, you then validate each ticket at the yellow machine in the station before going on the train. Otherwise you can get a fine. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment....
Read moreThe view was simply breathtaking. We stayed on the ground floor and found it incredibly peaceful, with uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. The private pool was a huge plus; it was never crowded, and we always found a sun lounger available—no need to rush out at 7am to reserve a spot! The location is perfect, with a ten-minute walk to the Lido and only a three-minute stroll to the nearest restaurant. The walk into town provides a great bit of exercise, and there’s nothing better than unwinding by the lake with an espresso in hand.||The only downside was the mosquitoes, but that’s hardly the fault of the apartment. Thankfully, the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the summer heat and made sleeping much more comfortable. Other than that, we have no complaints—you definitely get your money’s worth staying here.||Colico and Lake Como as a whole offer stunning scenery, charming towns, and an ideal blend of relaxation and adventure. We can’t...

Great pool facilities and easy walk into the town with boat/rail connections to other towns if exploring the lake. ||The town of Colico itself had all the required amenities for a family: beach, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, shops and a children’s playground. ||The rooms were immaculately clean, very spacious and very quiet. Overall a great place to stay and I’d fully recommend. ||As a side note, it was clear that Covid-19 guidance was taken very seriously with regular cleaning of public areas such as the pool and hand-gel...
