Hotel Jan Maria — Hotel in Comun General de Fascia

Me and my wife spent 6 nights at the hotel in late February - early March and it was a largely enjoyable experience at Canazei. Few things to mention:||||* location - nice, within 1km from the ski lift and some 800m from the Ski School (useful in case you rent equipment and keep it there). You can walk to the lift or use the hotel shuttle or use the ski bus station (nearby),||||* rooms - tidy and comfortable. we spent almost all of our time at the Apartment Lersc, which is a big apartment at a separate building, within 25 meters from the main building. and we actually liked it much more than rooms at the main building. more spacious, more things inside (such as fridge, cooking appliances, dishwasher etc.), even if the view is better from the rooms at the main building. I believe the Apartment Lersc can even accommodate 3-4 people, rather than just the 2 of us,||||* food - half-board, good overall. Drinks go as extra for dinner (a normal thing). Possibly, one suggestion from me would be to increase supply of vegetables during breakfast, me and my wife missed them,||||* personnel - extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. Jan Maria is a family owned hotel in the middle of the ski resort of Canazei. Run by Daniele and Sabrina you feel welcome from the booking and every day during your stay. In fact all members of the staff seems to be part of the family. The driver of the hotel shuttle will drive in the morning, drive you back in the afternoon, help serve dinner and finally serve you an expresso in the bar. All with a big smile.||The hotel is not super fancy - however rooms are large with nice views. The restaurant and bar areas are comfy and food is fine. The best - the shuttle for the Belvedere lift. It runs every morning and afternoon and we did not wait more than 5-10 min during the week. Especially when you come back in the afternoon it is great to jump on the shuttle and not have to wait for the community ski bus.||Another hint - Canazei has great swimming and wellness facilities in town. |Ubicación: el hotel está situado a 2 minutos en coche de la cabina para subir a la Sella Ronda. Además el hotel dispone de un servicio gratuito de transporte.|Al centro del pueblo se tardan solo cinco minutos.||Instalaciones: el hotel es algo anticuado|Y no le vendría mal una reforma. Si bien, tiene encanto de montaña y es similar a lps del resto del pueblo. La recepción es pequeña y solo hay una persona que te atiende (y que además es quien gestiona el hotel) con lo que a veces no pueden con todo. El hotel dispone de parking al aire libre gratuito. Tiene un muy buen servicio de guarda esquís que además mantienen las botas calientes. El SPA era regulero y poco agradable.|||Tipo de habitación: habitación doble con unas vistas espectaculares a la montaña. El tamaño era bueno. Moqueta limpia y decoración anticuada. A la habitación le faltaban algunas cosas como vasos. De hecho, nos subimos un vaso de plástico del SPA para tomar una medicina diaria y al día siguiente te lo quitaban. Buena luz y también buen espacio de armarios y cajones para guardar las cosas.||Baño: buen tamaño pero también anticuado. Plato de ducha pequeño y con mamparas muy viejas. Buena temperatura del agua pero algo falto de presión.||Cama: muy buen tamaño de la cama.|Colchón bastante cómodo y también las|Almohadas. Se echa en falta un almohadón||Tele: pequeña||Toallas: algo viejas, pero buena absorción. Sin albornoz ni zapatillas||Amenities: escaso. Un dispensador de jabón/champú en la ducha y una pastilla de jabón en el lavabo.||Wifi: llegaba bien la señal pero es muy lento. Apenas da para compartir unas fotos.||Calefacción: No había opción de regularla y hacía frío en la habitación. Nos dieron una colcha extra, pero no era suficiente||Desayuno / Cena: quizás lo más flojo. Cenamos el primer día y no volvimos a hacerlo. Caro y comida de calidad baja. Hay muchos restaurantes por el pueblo que son buenos y no merece la pena quedarse en el hotel. El desayuno es buffet y creo que le faltaban muchas cosas. Había cosas buenas como el bizcocho o los croissants, pero el café era malo. También los huevos revueltos tenían mala pinta (no llegué a probarlos) y podrían poner más surtido como unas salchichas o bacon. El desayuno se hizo muy repetitivo los 6 días...
