Hotel Loredana - Livigno — Hotel in Comunità montana Alta Valtellina

I am a traveler and had a chance to stay in different places and hotels all over. This place was the worst I came across. We attended a family reunion in Livigno, Italy. We stayed at the Loredana Hotel. A bad choice!!!!||The hotel was small and very dated, but that is OK, just maybe watch out for the bathrooms. They are so small that you will have trouble using the toilet (hit your head on the wall, or the shower door is too small for the regular person to get in).||I don’t know where to start. The staff was rude, unwelcoming, and actually angry, we were there. As guests, we were not allowed to sit in common-use areas such as bar or hallway; or waiters making a rude comment in front of us thinking we don’t understand. Well, we DID!! The rooms were so hot, it was hard to sleep or bread at night. The food was horrible! Nothing like Italian food is. Every day, exact thing for breakfast, fake scrambled eggs with cold cuts like from the can. Dinners had some variety, but none were like one would expect from an Italian cuisine. We stayed at Hotel Loredana with four families for our ski vacation. Such a large group of people requires some organization, but the staff did their utmost to make everyone completely comfortable. We had booked half board, which turned out to be a good choice. You could choose from several delicious dishes every day and they even provided special dishes for vegetarians - you just had to indicate it on the menu. In the bar we could enjoy richly poured drinks. The hotel itself is cozy, as well as a good base for skiing. Less than 100 meters away there is a ski elevator that took us to the east side - our favourite side - of Livigno. Abbiamo avuto l'occasione di soggiornare in questa struttura per una settimana ed eravamo 4 persone. L'albergo è dadato posizionato nella parte più alta di Livigno ma facilmente raggiungibile con i bus gratuiti, si presenta molto carino e ben strutturato. La cordialità e la disponibiltà ad iniziare dal proprietario passando per il maitre e a tutto lo STAFF sono i punti forti di questo albergo. Già dal primo contatto per telefono con il sig. Battista è stato piacevole parlarci,per poi passare alla sig.ra Michela, una responsabile generale in assenza del prorprietario che fin dal subito al nostro arrivo si è messa a disposizione per qualsiasi nostra richiesta. Non posso non elogiare il maitre di sala Sabino, una persona PROFESSIONALE e molto preparata nonchè simpaticissima con la quale si ha piacere di scambiare quattro chiacchere mentre si fa colazione o cena ed aveva una disponibità IMMENSA nei confronti di uno di noi che ha problemi con alcune intolleranze, e la sua disponibilità arrivava al punto che ogni sera si fermava per analizzare il menu del giorno successivo ed eventualmente proporre piatti più idonei solo alla persona interessata; e poi ci sono Arianna, una ragazza giovane delicatissima e gentilissima affiancata da Roberto un cameriere troppo simpatico fiorentino che era già uno spasso ascoltare il tono della sua "cadenza" di parlata. Il cibo è stato sempre di ottima qualità, fresco e tutto preparato al momento con un menu ricco e variegato ogni giorno; la colazione a buffet abbondante e qualsiasi richiesta extra erano pronti per soddisfarla.
