Wonderful location between the province of Sondrio and Bergamo-Brescia, within the stunningly-scenic Alps and woods. In winter you walk to the ski-lifts, in summer you walk up to the mountain huts through forests. There is also two cross-country rings above the village. Snow is plenty in the winter time, while summer is hot. November is strange as fog hangs down and wraps you all around, but interesting and very un-crowded. The hotel is so central it will amase you. The guys and girls running the place are so much fun and so amasing it will be hard for you to leave. They are true mountain people bonr and raised here and if you need a genuine tip, you'll get it. Rooms are small but basic and in winter very warm, also the shower. ||Food is wonderful. Do take breakfast + dinner. They buy and cook very local. The village has a swimming pool with suana, one cinema and a night club. Many bars, a fitness place and two churches: up-town...
Read moreI have spent a wonderful week at the Torena Hotel at the beginning of February. I was working as a rep for a group of international students from Dubai and we had a great time. Antonio, the manager, and his family made our stay very special . Their flexibility in adapting the menu to the students and teachers requests and been always accommodating to suit our needs was remarkable. The beds were comfortable , the rooms spacious and the communal areas always ready to be used. The food was great too. The location of the Hotel, the ski storage facilities and the short distance from the slopes makes it an ideal place for a great skiing experience. I would highly recommend the Torena for groups, family and single travellers ! |Fulvio (...

We had a room of four and there was just one plug socket. |The bathroom was ok but the shower was small and flooded the bathroom. The room light was dirty collecting cobwebs as it had not been cleaned. The room was not secure also as we found a way you can access every room in the hotel and the bathroom window had no way of locking and easy access. They stated on another website a balcony in every room but not in our room! I did love aprica it was a beautiful village/town? And would go again! The staff were lovely and the food was great a shame about the room! Would suggest GB ski school especially for beginners if you...
