Perfect hotel in Domaso. Don’t be put off by the fact that Domaso is further than the other main spots like Bellagio and Menaggio, as you can get the ferry straight there. We arrived from Milan by travelling to Colico station and then a bus from Colico station to Domaso. The bus stops just near the hotel, it’s like a 2 mins walk. We didn’t have a car we did everything on foot just using the bus and ferry’s. Domaso is a quiet little town, it’s a nice spot if you want to be away from the tourist saturated areas like Bellagio and Varenna. Just visit those for the day and you get to come back to a quiet place to rest and also can stay in Domaso for the day as there are some nice restaurants and still have amazing views of lake Como all around. The hotel itself is perfect for what you need, the views are stunning, it isn’t busy, each room has its own courtyard that leads onto the pool area, the breakfast is nice and the staff are wonderful. Overall amazing value and I would stay here again any day! Because it is small there was never any noise from other guests, everyone is polite...
Read moreThis hotel exceeded all our expectations. The location was perfect, with a front balcony offering a stunning lake view, ideal for relaxing. It was also conveniently located, with two supermarkets just a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast was a highlight, with a great selection to suit everyone’s taste from eggs and bacon to fresh fruit, pastries, and a variety of juices. Plus, the prices at the mini-bar were refreshingly reasonable, unlike many other places.
A thoughtful touch was the beach towel exchange system the hotel provided cards that we could trade for towels, which was especially helpful since my partner had forgotten his.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with a huge shower that was a real treat after a day out exploring. The only minor downside was the hairdryer if you have more than a few hairs to dry, you might want to bring your own as the one provided wasn’t the most powerful.
Other than that, the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we had an overall fantastic experience. Would definitely rate it a...
Read moreWhat a lovely little family hotel. All the staff were so friendly and helpful from start to finish. |The room was lovely, very clean along with the whole hotel, and we had a balcony on the side of the hotel which gave us a great view over the surrounding mountains and lake.|The pool area was nice, though it did lack beds, so unless you were early, you struggled to get poolside. There was a small pool bar which did do a couple of snack options, otherwise there was no restaurant which was a shame. The town of Domaso, was only a short walk though and th er e were restaurants there.|Breakfast was nice, and they did offer to cook you eggs but not poached. There was a reasonable choice of breakfast items to help yourself too, and the staff were just amazing. Couldn’t make you more welcome, and seemed to speak all languages.|The only negative, is that it is situated right on the main road round the lake, your view from the pool area had a busy road running just in front of it.|But overall, very nice and would use...
