Stanze del Sole B&B — Hotel in Fiumicino

We stayed 2 nights in this place and the host Stefania picked us up at the airport at 9pm. The place was not too big but very, very clean (almost obsessive-compulsively clean), decorated with nice homely tidbits. Room was comfortable, AC, TV, shower, hot water, toilet, everything worked perfectly. There was a nice balcony in our room which was nice too. In front of our bedroom there was the kitchen/small dining room and Stefania stocked it with plenty of food and drinks that we could take for free (and there's always cakes and cookies too!). Breakfast was simple, just croissant, fruits, chocolate, yoghurt, but it was nice. Very close to the airport (10 mins drive), but far from the center of Rome (45 mins drive). You can take the Terravision bus from Fiumicino to Termini station in Rome, costs only 5 Euro. The bus station is quite far from the B&B though, but if you ask Stefania she might drive you there (she did it for us 2 days in a row,...

"Le Stanze del Sole" is a fantastic little B&B in a lovely town near Rome. Upon my arrival my room was well presented; both clean and tidy, with free wi-fi, free breakfast every morning and daily laundry. The owner is a really lovely, kind lady who seemed to genuinely care about whether I was enjoying my stay.||||The location of Le Stanze del Sole couldn't be better. There is plenty to do around the town of Fiumicino and it's also very close to the city of Rome itself (just 15 minutes by train). Personally I'm glad I chose to stay here and not in the city itself as it provided me with a place to escape to and relax after a busy day in the city, not to mention to money it saved me.||||Overall I am extremely happy with my experience at Le Stanze del Sole and I am already planning to stay there again this summer! This was a great place to stay as we had a 9am flight and needed to leave the B&B around 6am. It 's just a short drive from the airport and has gas stations to fill up the tank before returning rental cars (fill up the night before not the morning of!!) The owners were very friendly and when we said we needed a kettle they even brought us their own one from their house. The room was clean as was the bathroom.
