Sfizi di Mare — Restaurant in Fiumicino

It was our last night in Italy and we really wanted something authentic (not touristy fare which is all too common if you're in any of the high traffic towns and cities). We wanted delicious. We hoped for romantic. This restaurant met all of those expectations and more. Impeccable service, a wide variety of wines and menu choices, "to die for" desserts -- and all of it made fresh, on site, with premium ingredients and attention to detail.

We arrived early, dressed somewhat casual, and throughout our time on the lovely patio (linen, full service settings) other patrons arrived in business attire, and cocktail attire. Each were treated equally well and I heard every single one of them provide a hearty and honest "Thank you!" to staff, chef and owner before leaving. (We spent over 3 hours at the restaurant - dining slowly, savoring every morsel.

Having happened upon this restaurant and enjoying it so much, I will be sure to book future travel with a long enough layover to come back. We ate there one month ago and I'm already dreaming of the day when I can return!

We are staying at a large Hotel about 20 minutes away from Sfizu Di Mare . We had a long drive today, six hours from the heel of Italy . We landed at the hotel for one night prior to our flight first thing in the morning and were very hungry . The desk clerk told us the restaurant at the hotel is very good and the same price as nearby restaurants . It was 530 pm and the hotel restaurant wasn't open until 630 . At the bar we were able to order bar foods . We shared a Greek salad and 2 glasses of wine . The price was 28 euro . The olives in the salad were terrible not what you would expect from a country where olives are grown .

We decided to look on google and found good reviews is Sfizi Di Mare , so we walked there.

Well worth venturing out incredible food and fantastic service . Very fresh Ingredients and delicious flavours .

Highly recommend - figure out these little local gems on your own !!

And I am a picky...

We we're flying out of the airport the next day. We were looking for a place to eat dinner before settling in for the night. The Hilton Rome rep recommended this restaurant because he frequents it and it was also close. When we got into the taxi and told the driver where we wanted to go he also said it was his favorite place. He also said order the house wine. They were all correct.
