Worst Experience Ever – Stay Away!
I had the worst of the worst of the worst experience at this hostel. Please stay away! The management is completely incompetent, and everything about this place lacks professionalism.
Let me explain why:
There was an educational fair in Florence, and the hostel accepted over 100 Italian teenagers—which in itself is fine. But they were running through the corridors, banging on doors, and even trying to open my door multiple times during the night. Still, I tried to stay patient.
Then came the cleaning staff. While I was in an important work meeting in my room, they entered three times without knocking. I got excuse after excuse, but honestly, it was beyond unprofessional.
Every night, these teenagers partied in the hallways until midnight, making it impossible to work or sleep. And the management did absolutely nothing to control the situation.
The final straw? At 1 AM, one of the teachers from this high school group knocked on my door, waking me up for no reason.
This is NOT a youth hostel, and I was there for work, not for chaos. Yet, I suffered through constant noise, zero privacy, and complete mismanagement.
If I had the means, I would demand a refund for this disaster of a stay. If you need a peaceful place for work or rest, avoid this hostel...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing stay due to a power outage that left us without access to essential amenities. No water to flush the toilet, take a shower, or even wash our hands. I understand that outages might be beyond the staff’s control, but their lack of support and preparation was unacceptable. The receptionist even mentioned that power outages happen regularly, which makes it even more important for the hostel to improve its system to manage such situations.
Despite the circumstances, not even a bottle of water was offered to guests. What was particularly unsettling was that the bar continued serving drinks while staff had no access to water for basic hygiene. Clean water is a fundamental necessity that every hostel must guarantee.
In addition, the overall cleanliness of the room was poor, with dust clearly visible throughout.
I requested a refund for the second night because we didn’t feel comfortable staying longer. I only received an automatic acknowledgment of my email, with no proper response to my request. To make things worse, the receptionist said they couldn’t process a refund and that I had to email the hostel directly. Which seems unreasonable for a staffed hotel.
I have been waiting for their response for more than 24hrs. It is very...
Read moreTerrible. Extremely uneducated staff.
We were in the hotel lobby, where there is a bar, where there was only one person to serve guests who were arriving, check them in and meet the demands of the bar. There were glasses piled up on the bar counter, my husband stood up and saw that there was no one to serve him, since he only wanted two glasses, he took them and sat down. At the same time, a man who was sitting at a table talking to a lady and drinking, stood up and spoke loudly and clearly to our entire family and the guests nearby: “You should ask before taking the glasses, now go back there, return the glasses and ask the employee”. The attitude was extremely rude and inelegant. He should have called my husband aside and explained the local customs, and not embarrassed him in front of everyone like he did. After all, we were in a hostel that receives guests from all over the world with different cultural customs and it is only prudent that those who serve the public have the minimum level of good manners. The employee's name is Flaviano! The hostel manager! A terrible person to be in charge of managing an establishment that serves the public. I do not recommend staying there, especially for Brazilians who are used to politeness and...
