During the time between 2001 and 2008 i spent over 100 days at this restaurant/bay. The water in one section is thermal water hence it popularity. Many many famous people have visited this bay and still do. If you ever stop here tell the restaurant owners marco and salvotore ,Giorgio the americano di miami reccomended you stop by. Best come during the weekdays as weekends its jammed. Great restaurant with fair prices. To arrive here its best by car because the bus stop is at least 1/2 mile away and then you have 200 stairs to deal with. The easiset way to arrive is by boat from the beach of Moronti which costs 8 euro or from san"t angelo costs 5 euro. Lastly, of course, many come here by private boat or yacht. I must say after all these years, been there done that, comes to mind. It so crowded on a saturday it was quite terrible. 15 years ago it was way better less crowded way more natural. Now they have billboards advertising here and it just looks too commercial in my opinion.Last thing is this,no matter my opinion, if you are on ischia its still the place to see visit and have lunch or dinner....

A nice place to enjoy a rocky beach with thermal water. The drive here was not bad and there is paid parking in the restaurant where the steps start. Parking costs 3 Euros which I thought was not bad. The walk to the waters or around 200 steps downhill and it was not bad. There is a shelter by the beach but no toilets or other acess. There is space by the shelter area and other spots to keep bags, towels. We visited in May and it was not crowded at the same time limited good spots. There are only limited warm water/thermal experience areas. The rocks are very slippery and to get to the water it's better to crawl then attempt to walk as one is guaranteed to slip. My daughter and a few others slipped on the rocks, thankfully no one for hurt. I had to crawl, grab on rocks to sink a little into the warm thermal waters. The water is steaming hot to the left and not safe to go. Even the rocks by the shore were hot so it felt better to be in the water. There was a guy applying volcanic mud pack for a fees which I failed to notice until we started our exit from. Overall a nice thermal...

This place was highly recommended by our concierge, but we unfortunately did not find it enjoyable. We went on a Sunday in early June and it was pretty crowded. The bathing/swimming area is shallow with big slippery rocks, making it very hard to get in/move around. I'd definitely recommend water shoes. The small area where the thermal waters are was full of people and even when I managed to get a spot, the water was just kind of lukewarm and didn't feel particularly pleasant on a hot day.

Also, if you're planning to take the water taxi from Sant'Angelo to get there, check in advance to make sure it's running. We were there a few days before the official beginning of high season, so it was NOT. We found this out after taking the bus to Sant'Angelo and then had to take the bus back to Panza and walk the 20 minutes downhill. The return trip up the hill on a hot day was rough. I can't deny that the bay was beautiful, but IMO not worth all that hassle to get to, and probably not a place...

The bathing here is free but there are also pay-for loungers and 2 restaurants. There are nice toilets in which you could change, and also a public ‘changing area’ behind a bamboo screen. Parking is at the top of the steps - pay €4 at the restaurant for a car. See photos. Approximately 20 spaces. Most in shade. Some people arrive by boat from St Angelo. About 100 steps down (and back up again!) There are several ‘pools’ of varying hotness. One pool is scalding and you can see the steam rising from it. The other pools are a beautiful temperature with swirling hot and cold. There is a jetty for climbing into the pool. The stones are very slippery so bring rubber shoes if you have them. My husband slipped and cut his hand a little on a sharp barnacle so just be careful. There are tiny, cute crabs and some small fish in the water… it is their habitat and no need to be afraid! We went at 12:30 pm on a Monday in early June. Highly recommended.
