NEVER had such a terrible hotel stay. First, the positives: the view is beautiful of Capri, the restaurant was good, and a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Besides that, AWFUL. When we arrived the woman who checked us in was useless. She walked us to our room but told us no details about anything, how to get to town (as it’s 10+ minutes from Sorrento and the road getting to it isn’t walkable), anything about the restaurant, zip. We couldn’t control the AC at night because apparently some guests were cold, so we basically sweat all night because it was on the “calor function,” and when we asked about it the man there said he fixed it for us, but there was no change. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant, which was good, went up to our room after but it was being cleaned, so we took the stairs down to the lobby to wait, and my mom slipped on the stairs due to wet floors that were being cleaned (SOAKED) but there was no wet floor sign and she hit her head on the bottom step. The maid just stared at her for like 30 secs and didn’t say A THING (no apology) and just tried forcing her up which is a HUGE no. She told the managers that she just “fell on her ass” when she slipped, when she really landed on her butt and head. I told the staff about what happened and they basically looked at me blank. Only helpful person was Giovanna at the desk who checked on my mom and was sympathetic. Everyone else just stared and didn’t say a thing. Pretty sure the owner was there when I told them what happened and he just stared at me, no intervening, no apologies, nothing. We were offered spa services (really after an injury?) and if we needed a doctor they’d arrange it. We asked to check out the next day as the treatment we were shown after my mom could’ve been seriously injured hitting the back of her head. I’m still in shock at how they were so blank, unhelpful and unsympathetic towards my mom after they were at fault for her slipping. The maid’s excuse for no we floor sign was “she was in a hurry and forgot to put it.” That carelessness could’ve led to a much worse outcome had my mom...

I can safely say this is the worst service I’ve ever received in a hotel. The hotel itself is okay a bit overpriced but not really any problem but the service is shocking. The food is also incredibly poor.||The reception service is dreadful and the worst I’ve received. yesterday I asked a man at customer services if he could write down a car park for where we need to park in Sorrento he said no.|| This morning I’ve come down just to check my bill so far and the lady behind the desk said here’s your bill and it was just one bill it wasn’t itemised and I couldn’t See what I signed for. She said. Why do you want to see that? I said just to check it she said no that’s not right so I said everywhere else you go you check the receipt against the bill because they could make it up. She was very rude. I did eventually check it against the bill and it was ok||I then went up to sit by the pool and I asked for a towel. They said it’s €1 I’ve never ever paid for a towel in a hotel especially at a reasonably expensive hotel. They seem to be on the make all the time.||The breakfast here is incredibly average and thats being kind best last night my friend couldn’t taste anything with his meal and we asked the waiter if it was cooked. Correctly The waiter again was rude and says why don’t you like it ? in England France, Germany America wherever they would say really sorry would you like me to change it or take it off your bill? We weren’t after a free meal we are all educated middle aged adults we do t need a free meal. but we just wanted to inform them that we didn’t know what we were eating because it was tasteless.||Then with the bar staff on the roof Terrace sometimes you get snacks with your cocktails sometimes you don’t there’s no consistency here. I’m amazed that it has some good reviews and I’m not here to complain all the time about everything. If I see a good hotel or stay a good hotel I’ll leave a good review but I just review it as I find it.||I’m currently staying here in room 26|| I would look elsewhere. There are many better...

Unsafe and Aggressive Management at Bellavista Hotel.

My recent stay at the Bellavista Hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. We booked a Junior Suite for one night, expecting a relaxing stay. However, the experience was far from it.

As my wife began to shower, she noticed that water was flooding the bathroom and seeping into the living room. I immediately called the reception, and a staff member arrived, insisting it was impossible since the room had been refurbished two months ago. Regardless of when it was refurbished, the problem was evident. The staff member used all available towels to soak up the water and asked me to slide the bath glass, which then fell off completely. This incident revealed how unsafe the hotel is, with very cheap materials used throughout, possibly of low quality.

I requested to speak with the manager, who turned out to be the owner. This is when the situation escalated into a disturbing ordeal. The owner arrived visibly angry, displaying violent and threatening behavior. He entered the bathroom to fix the glass, shouting "BASTA! BASTA!" at me repeatedly. He accused us of causing the water damage and demanded 200 euros for plumbing repairs.

Feeling unsafe, I asked for the police to be called. Shockingly, the receptionist, who seemed terrified of the owner, refused to call the police. This level of intimidation and lack of support is unacceptable.

The only good thing about the Bellavista Hotel is the view, which the owner thankfully cannot damage. However, given the hostile environment and unsafe conditions, it is impossible to enjoy it.

The Bellavista Hotel is not safe. The owner is a bully, and in case of any issues, do not expect any help from the staff as they seem too scared to intervene. I strongly advise travelers to avoid this hotel for their safety and peace of mind.

The whole situation was reccocrded, and submitted to local police to...

From a non-local's perspective, it was a hike to get here but worth the effort! We had only stayed here for 1 night, but crammed in everything that this hotel has to offer during our stay. After checking into our room, we immediately noticed how incredible our balcony was that overlooked the sea and could see the island of Capri (where we stayed the night before). After getting situated into our room, we changed into our swimsuits and headed up to the rooftop bar and pool area. That area was tremendous! As if the pool and beach chairs weren't nice enough, the bar area was a pleasant sight and the bartender was a very bubbly person. Drinks from the bar, beautiful pool with a beautiful view, and the sun all equated to the ideal vacation atmosphere. We concluded the night by eating at the restaurant on the main floor, and the food did not disappoint! The next morning we had their included breakfast which was also very good with a wide variety of foods. We capped our stay by checking out the indoor pool which was something that was worth getting in! Lastly, the employees were all very nice and even helped us figure out how to get the right bus and make it to our restaurant that we had reservations to downtown Sorrento. All in all, everything about this hotel was spectacular!

We had a great holiday based at this hotel. Its family run and very friendly. The facilities are great. Rooms are a fair size, clean, well furnished and comfortable. Rooftop pool with sunbeds are ideal for the downtime. There’s bar and restaurant here. The restaurant is fantastic. The breakfast choices are great. The evening menu is brilliant! All of the food is prepared and presented to a brilliant standard. The selection on the menu is varied and, for a hotel, the prices are very reasonable. The staff here are all lovely people and really helpful. Any requests or assistance are is responded to promptly and graciously in a friendly manner. Recommendations for eating, travel advice and timetables etc. I cannot remember meeting friendlier and more helpful staff at a hotel. We used this hotel as a base for exploring the area, Capri, Pompei and Vesuvius; with a trip to Positano by boat one day. It’s a brilliant location-away from the bustle of Sorrento-but an easy and cheap bus ride into the city. You need a car (in my opinion) to get here. Once here you can probably leave it parked. Our only use was to get to Vesuvius. Brilliant hotel. Brilliant and friendly staff. Excellent food. Wonderful views.
