We spent a full week at Villa Masetta in Mondello, just outside of Palermo, and it was an unforgettable stay. The villa has the perfect mix of historic charm, modern comfort, and family warmth — all in one of the best locations on Mondello Beach. Hospitality & Staff The family that runs Villa Masetta made our stay so special. Giulia and Claudia, along with their parents, Mauro and Susanna, were always warm, helpful, and sincere. They gave us great advice on what to see in Palermo, helped with restaurant reservations, and stayed in touch through WhatsApp — always quick and responsive. Their kindness made us feel less like hotel guests and more like part of their home. Suites & Views Our suite had a balcony overlooking Mondello Beach — waking up to the sea view each day was incredible. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The second-floor terrace is another highlight, with panoramic views over the whole Mondello cove. Convenience & Amenities Private parking was a big plus since we had a rental car. The pool looked clean and well kept, even though we spent most of our time at the beach. The villa also has an elevator, which is great for anyone with mobility needs. Everything was designed to make our stay easy and relaxing. Gardens & Atmosphere The gardens are beautiful, with trees, plants, and flowers carefully arranged to create a peaceful, private atmosphere. Coming back to the villa after a day at the beach felt like stepping into a small oasis. Location Villa Masetta is right in the middle of Mondello Beach with its own private enclosed beach area for guests. Even in August, when Mondello is hot and busy, the beach and sea were wonderful — and the private access made it comfortable and stress-free. Across the street, Touring Café was perfect for lunch, and nearby Mondello village has plenty of restaurant options. A highlight for us was dinner at Alle Terrazze, a luxurious restaurant with excellent food and a stunning view over the cove. Overall Villa Masetta exceeded our expectations in every way. The family’s hospitality, the suite and views, the peaceful gardens, and the unbeatable location made our week in Mondello truly memorable. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mondello or Palermo.

Where do I start with Villa Massetta. I discovered this gem in 2023 and had the most amazing stay. Coming back in 2025 with my best friends for my stag-do, I wasn't sure if it would live up to the amazing memories I had when I previously visited, but I think it was even better than I remembered. This is by far the best hotel/BnB I've ever stayed at. The location is the best in Mondello, being beach front and seconds away from the sea and our very own private beach. The private beach is so necessary in Mondello as it gets extremely crowded on the public beach. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well designed, with so much space to chill out around the pool or by the grass. It's a credit to all the staff who maintain and clean the grounds constantly. I remember saying to my friends when we noticed a groundman dusting off the outdoor sofa that they really take pride in their family run business, not once will you see a member of staff doing nothing! The staff/ family really is what make this place special. They are so lovely and go above and beyond to make you feel at home in their home. They are so so helpful and have a great balance of customer service in a way that isn't at all imposing but you know you can absolutely ask them for anything. The two girls who serve breakfast every morning were also amazing, so so helpful and confident when dealing with a group of loud boys! We really appreciated all there help and effort to keep up with all of our requests! The food is another factor that makes this place worth every penny. The breakfast is unbelievable, especially for us used to English food! Theres so much choice and we made the most of it to the point where we didnt need to buy lunch on any of the days we stayed in Sicily as we ate so well at breakfast. If you want the best and easiest relaxing holiday than do not hesitate in booking your stay at Villa Massetta. I will absolutely be back as soon as possible, I can't wait to come back here with my wife!

Incredible hotel in Mondello! Giulia and Claudia welcomed us with warmth and hospitality. We came to this hotel after a 7-day sailing trip around the Aeolian Islands; this hotel gave us much needed rest and relaxation. Location: hotel is right on Mondello Beach, but tucked away from the street and the noise. Quick walk to the beach club (towels and chair rental included in your stay). Order a pizza and Messina beer from Pizzeria Apizzastreet to your chair. Mondello is a great alternative to Palermo if you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere. Amenities: Pool is so lovely and refreshing. Terrace offers 360 degree views of the gorgeous Mondello landscape. Rooms: Thoughtful and large, with high ceilings and big windows that open up to the beach. Bath products felt high-end. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Food: Aperol Spritz’s at the pool were on point and reasonably priced. Breakfast (included in your stay) was delicious—standard European fare of cheese, meats, yogurts, fresh fruit, and of course- cannoli. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel. 5-star experience. Hope to be back soon.

We recently spent a full week at Villa Masetta in Mondello, just outside of Palermo, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. The villa combines historic charm, modern comfort, and warm family hospitality in one of the best locations along Mondello Beach.||Hospitality & Staff||The heart of Villa Masetta is the family who runs it. Giulia and Claudia, along with their parents, Mauro and Susanna, were warm, sincere, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel at home. They went above and beyond by suggesting places to see in Palermo, assisting with restaurant reservations, and staying connected with us through WhatsApp — always quick and responsive whenever we had a question. Their kindness and attentiveness gave Villa Masetta the personal touch of a family home rather than a hotel.||Accommodations & Views||We stayed in a suite with a private balcony overlooking Mondello Beach. The view was breathtaking — mornings began with the sparkling blue of the Mediterranean, and evenings closed with the sound of the sea. The suite was spacious, spotless, and designed with comfort in mind. A special highlight is the shared second-floor terrace, which offers panoramic views over the entire Mondello cove — the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of the bay.||Convenience & Amenities||Having private parking on-site was a big advantage, especially since we had a rental car to explore Palermo and the surrounding area. It gave us peace of mind and made travel stress-free. While we personally preferred spending our days on the beach and didn’t use the pool, it was clearly well-maintained, clean, and inviting for guests who enjoy lounging by the water. The villa also has an elevator, which is helpful for anyone with mobility challenges. Together with the common areas and garden, these features made our stay both easy and relaxing.||Gardens & Atmosphere||The landscaping at Villa Masetta is beautiful. The gardens are carefully designed with trees, plants, and flowers that create a peaceful, private atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a little oasis each time we returned from the beach — a perfect blend of elegance and tranquility that added so much charm to the property.||Location||Villa Masetta’s location is unbeatable. It sits right in the middle of Mondello Beach, with a private enclosed beach area reserved for guests. Even in August, when the area is hot and busy, the beach and sea were wonderful, and the private access made it easy to enjoy the water comfortably.||Across the street, Touring Café was a convenient and friendly spot for lunch between time at the villa and the beach. Just a short walk away, the Mondello village area offered plenty of restaurants and a lively atmosphere. One highlight for us was dinner at Alle Terrazze, a luxurious restaurant with excellent cuisine and a spectacular view over the sea and Mondello cove. Dining there was an unforgettable experience that added to the magic of our stay.||Overall Impression||Our week at Villa Masetta was nothing short of outstanding. Between the warm hospitality of the family, the comfort of the suites, the convenience of parking and amenities, the peaceful gardens, and the unbeatable location on Mondello Beach, every part of our stay exceeded expectations. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend Villa Masetta to anyone visiting...

Where do I even begin with Villa Massetta? I discovered this absolute gem back in 2023 and had an unforgettable experience. Returning in 2025 for my stag-do with my best friends, I wasn’t sure if it could live up to my cherished memories, but it somehow exceeded every expectation.||This is, without a doubt, the best hotel/B&B I’ve ever stayed at.||The location is unbeatable. Right on the beachfront in Mondello, just steps from the sea, with access to a private beach. That private beach alone makes all the difference in Mondello, where the public areas can get incredibly crowded. Having that peaceful, pristine space to ourselves was a game-changer.||The grounds are stunning: beautifully landscaped, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Whether we were lounging by the pool or relaxing on the lawn, it always felt like a private oasis. The attention to detail is remarkable. I remember pointing out to my friends how we saw a groundskeeper carefully dusting off an outdoor sofa, every staff member takes immense pride in this family-run haven. You’ll never see anyone idle; they’re constantly working to keep everything perfect.||And speaking of the staff, they are truly the heart of Villa Massetta. Warm, welcoming, and endlessly helpful, they go above and beyond to make you feel like part of the family. Their hospitality strikes the perfect balance: always available when you need them, yet never intrusive. The two lovely women who served us breakfast each morning were incredible. gracious, confident, and completely unfazed by a group of loud, hungry guys! We genuinely appreciated their patience, professionalism, and good humor.||The food deserves special mention. Breakfast here is phenomenal, especially for those of us used to more basic English fare! There’s so much variety, and we filled up so well each morning that we often skipped lunch entirely. It’s another reason why staying at Villa Massetta is worth every penny.||If you’re looking for the most relaxing, seamless, and memorable holiday, do not hesitate to book your stay here. I will absolutely be back, as soon as I possibly can. I’m already counting down the days until I return with my wife.||Villa Massetta isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a place you’ll...
