Very upset with the lack of customer service. We booked a stay at this hotel a few days before departing for Pompei. We were so excited to relax in the hot tub and explore the nearby ruins of the ancient city. However, the day we were due to depart there was a National Italian Train Strike that left us stranded in Florence and with a completely cancelled train ticket to Pompei.
When we reached out to ask for a refund, we were told the manager, Francesco, is never available to speak to his clients, never comes to the hotel for more than an hour at a time, and simply refused to speak to us. The guys at reception, Mario and David, we’re support nice and told us they completely understood. However, we would need to send an email to Francesco as he never takes calls. We emailed and received no response. I’ve seen people leave reviews that they do issue refunds. For some reason, a National Train Strike was not enough for them to accommodate us.
I’m sure this place is lovely; I just do not appreciate the lack of communication. Once they got o ur money they told us the manager is never there and doesn’t answer calls. Our constant emails were left without a response. Very...
Read moreMy wife and I arrived here after a HORROR SHOW of an experience at a villa we had rented 0and promptly exited.
What awaited us at The Dream House could not have been better.
A clean, elegant room. A lovely relaxed ambience. A bottle of bubbly on ice and a plate of fresh fruit awaiting our arrival. Excellent facilities. And smiling, friendly helpful staff who could not do enough to be of service, answering our many questions and recommending wonderful restaurants for dinner as well as other places to go of an evening.
Breakfast was included and was wonderful. What an extensive spread of cereals, pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, and much more.
Our plan was to stay in Pompeii for one night. Our experience with Mario and ALL of his staff kept us there for an extra TWO NIGHTS.
This is now our GO-TO accommodation whenever we will be visiting Pompeii again.
If you are ever visiting the site of Pompeii (and you should), I can HIGHLY recommend staying here. We'll more than likely be booking our next visit when we get home!!
A wonderful experience ALL around. 5 STARS..... 6 or more if we...
Read moreWe have just got back from a 4 night stay and absolutely loved it.
It was in a perfect location, just a short walk away from the Pompeii ruins (where we spent the day) and also a short walk from the very lovely local town and the train station.
The train was an easy and cheap link into Naples and Sorrento (although we only travelled to Naples from the station)
Rooms were great we had the Luxury Triple Room as wanted a balcony which was definitely worth having, it was also cleaned each day with new towels.
Lovely small garden as well with some seats, a great spot for a morning drink, our daughter was happy trying to find Moly the tortoise each time we arrived.
Breakfast was amazing and the cook was super friendly.
Maro was great in helping make the stay easy, thanks for the restaurant recommendations and helping with some local tours.
Will definitely visit again, on our next trip the...
