Family Resort Rainer is an exceptionally well located hotel in the Dolomites region of Italy. The best part of the hotel is that it is situated right on the slopes - so convenient for skiing. They have a wide range of guest services, including ski rental, ski school, kindergarten, spa, restaurant, bar, and many areas to relax. We had breakfast and dinner each evening in the restaurant which was reasonable quality, though not exceptional. For dinner, they served us about 6 courses every evening - it was far too much food and many of the courses included reused elements of other courses or the dinner from the previous evening. They also offer an afternoon snack of cakes, but they do not include tea or coffee which is an extra charge, bizarrely. The rooms are spacious and the views are wonderful. They include a nice balcony area from which to overlook the Dolomites. The room decor is a little dated, however, and would benefit from modernisation. The spa is incredible and in my opinion it is the very best part of the hotel. They have an outdoor pool which is a little cold at 30° but it's picture perfect. There are private treatments on offer and a very relaxing series of saunas and relaxation areas, which should be enjoyed to the full. The prices of drinks in the bar were odd. An aperol spritz was only €4.50 whereas a small 330ml bottle of coke was about €5.50. Overall I was pleased with my stay at this hotel and I was impressed by the location and the number of services on offer. It was quite expensive though, and in some specific areas I don't think it represented great value for money.

TUTTO FUMO E NIENTE ARROSTO!!!

The mountain scenery around the hotel is breathtaking. Rooftop hot tub and outdoor pool are clean with superb view. Short walk to nearby restaurants and small supermarket. I stayed in the Smart Suit Green which is on an opposite side of the main building but still is convenient with the underground pathway in case of raining or snowing. In general, this resort is bigger than nearby ones with full facilities and perfect for family and kids all ages. There are several fun family parks nearby you can take cable car up to higher level to trail, trek, and lots of activities. Only need to note that almost all restaurants are closed during 2-5.30pm and might closed some days. Only a few to choose though so check and plan carefully.

Family Resort Rainer is a beautifully, family run hotel in Sesto Italy in the middle of beautiful mountains and skiing isles. I have personally never had such a flawless stay at a hotel, and I have had many. Even though it may be a resort, it feels cosy, homey and welcoming. The attention to detail is beyond compare - being greeted with your name, having your specific coffee-wishes ready at the breakfast table and feeling comfortable anywhere around. The hotels history is shown throughout the corridors where the family's hotel story can be seen and followed in images and memories. The spa is impeccable and offers everything and beyond what is needed after a tough day of skiing. The food, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner is mouthwatering - this is anything but "a normal hotel-buffet". The quality of the food and the passion for flavour can be seen and tasted at all times. The skiing teachers are wonderful with children and adults alike, and the private skiing slope just in front of the hotel is perfect to warm up. I was a skiing beginner and I was given such great attention and care to feel safe on the slope within just one day. There is also an internal skiing equipment rental inside the hotel incase anyone needs anything. Overall, I can recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed and sporty stay. We visited in February and it was everything one could have asked for for a skiing holiday in the dolomites. A big compliment to the family who run it - the passion and love for hospitality can really be seen and felt in every corner. Thank you for this...
