Residence Settsass — Hotel in Pustertal - Val Pusteria

My girlfriend and I spend this past month travelling across Northern Italy. During the trip we stayed at some places nice and others not so much. I would highly, highly recommend staying at this family's hotel. It's a very warm and friendly place. The views on all sides of the building are incredible.

Here is my review that I posted to Priceline: "We stayed for two nights and were overwhelmed by both the beauty of the area and how lucky were were to have booked at Garni Setsass. The rooms were decorated with an Alpine theme. The beds were very comfortable...I had actually hurt my back after falling down a flight of stone steps a couple days before in Florence. The quality of the beds therefore became a big issue during this trip. This room was wonderful and getting a good night's rest really flavored my good experience at the hotel. The owner and his wife are wonderful people. They will treat you like family. The hotel is well appropriated for both hiking or skiing holidays. There is an equipment/ski room with racks for skis and poles and even shoe/boot warmers right when you walk in. The hotel is centrally located...you can get to all of Alta Badia very quickly. For an area of Italy with a lot of small towns we were very happy to have booked in Colfosco because there were more nightlife/restaurant options than we expected. Do not book here, they are very unreliable and unprofessional. We booked an apartment one year in advance for our ski trip and visit to the Olympic Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo in February 2026, but they just cancelled it this week. No apologies, no explanation, nothing. They don't pick up the phone, they don't respond to messages. We now need to suddenly find an alternative accomodation whilst everything is sold out due to the peak season and Olympic games. They should be ashamed as we already prepared our trip and booked tickets for the Olympics, flights, merchandise, etc. Do not trust this party because they cancel your booking...

We spent 7 nights here in October, we chose this place because of the amazing view and the beautiful interior design. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with 2 balconies with an amazing view. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need, everything is new and convenient and tastefully decorated, there's also an option to do laundry (with additional cost). There are many hiking trails around the apartment, I did several hikes without moving the car. Alex and his wife are so nice and friendly and made us feel like home.
