After reading so many good reviews of this B&B we booked this place as we wanted to be within the Vatican vicinity. ||||We were at first struggling to find the B&B as it is an apartment building and there are no signs outside or inside for that matter. Make sure you print the address and take this with you. It is very close to Cipro station and this was very convenient. We arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected due to being able to catch an earlier bus from the airport and were left waiting for over half an hour for someone to arrive to be able to check in. We also had to call from our own phone in order to get in contact with them and find out what was going on. There is usually no staff member around the B&B in the afternoons and evenings (We were actually never quite sure when the staff were around). We got given our keys to our room and a key to the apartment block. There is also a small lift.||The room was standard, double bed and bathroom and met our requirements.||The breakfast was not anything special, there was no fresh produce as it was all prepacked jam, chocolate spread, packaged croissants etc. For those who like tea you have to bring your own as they only provide coffee. There was no ham or cheese or anything like that.||||We were very disappointed that on the morning of checkout no staff were present and this resulted in us not getting any breakfast at all. We had planned to have breakfast at the B&B as you would expect and had only so many Euros left.||Make sure you have a mobile phone with you as a lot of the time it is the only way for you to get in contact with the members of staff if you need anything. We had to leave our keys behind with no breakfast and we were very disappointed by this experience. We did complain to the B&B and asked for some money back and they had agreed to pay us a proportion of the money paid however to this date we still have not received this money despite them requesting our bank details. I therefore would not recommend this place as it is just simply run unprofessionally and it did seem like the owners did not really care about the us as guest. I should hope that this is was a one of experience but the minimal staffing levels just simply did not work for us.||||The overall area is OK, if you want anything fancy don't come here. We usually budget travel and the area was fine with us. The Vatican City is within walking distance and we often ate out in the evening in that area. There are no major supermarket or shops near the B&B.||||We had a nice time in Rome, it is a beautiful city. It was just simply disappointing that we did not have a very good experience with the accommodation as we expected from the...
Read moreUpon arrival at the building, there was nothing to say this was the correct building for a B&B, even a resident who was leaving the building dint know where it was! Upon calling the guys who this was booked through (Booking dot com) the guy who I spoke to was either having a bad day or his attitude towards customers was shocking, I asked a legit question as to where was the B&B & he just came across like an angry man and ended the call by shouting at me... ||||To address is correct, but if you look quite hard you'll find a small button to press with a scribbled note next to it noting that this was the actual place we were to be staying.... To say my expectation were low, was correct...||||Upon arrival, the guy who was clearly living in his own room in the flat, explained that breakfast would be from 0800-0930, (fair enough) but I noted that we'd be leaving early on the morning of our departure & could he leave out some bits n bobs for us...... "Ahhhh noooooo" was the reply this who was living there was clearly slightly out of his depth and the language barrier was a bit of an issue too. ||||The room.... It had a safe, that didn't work, the beds... A mixed combo of IKEA bed frames with camp bed fillers, with an Ok IKEA mattress. The toilet, it had a lid, but no seat! The AIr Conditioning worked.... Just, given the hot climate they could have supplied a mini fridge to put a bottle of water in. ||||The area, nice residential, close to Cipro Underground Metro (5 min walk) and close to all the other touristy things most want to see whilst in Rome. ||||Overall I wasn't impressed with the service and room, this may have been budget for Rome (€95 paid for two nights) Breakfast was poor, no fruit, rolls etc, just packet crosiants, etc. the contained a TV, but to be honest we tried to put some MTV on whilst getting ready of a morning & eve, but the reception was pointless. ||||The room was clean though, (towels changed every 3 days) ||||I was traveling with my daughter and required...
Read moreI stayed with my family (me, wife and 1 year old baby) in B&B Roma Centro San Pietro for 8 days. I can only confirm all positive comments regardig this B&B. The room was clean, spacious and quite big. It has nice, comfortable bathroom, flat LCD TV, good and free Wifi internet, double bed, sofa, small table and 2 chairs. The service is good too. We've had our room cleaned whenever we wanted. The biggest plus of the B&B is location: 200m from Metro A station, about 1 km from Vatican, the surroundings are nice, it's a safe nieghbourhood. The only minus is for breakfast, which contained only milk + cereals, croissants + jams, wafers, juice, tea or coffee (excellent one) and was exactly the same every day.||Summarizing, I strongly reccomend B&B Roma Centro San Pietro. It's a perfect starting point for sightseeing...
